Are you looking for work? Considering a change? Looking at moving to an amazing city with a World of Opportunity? Cornwall Ontario will be having a job fair Wednesday February 24th at the Cornwall Civic Complex (100 Water Street).
Some of the companies participating will be: Olymel, City of Cornwall, Cornwall Community Hospital, Kraft Canada, McConnell Manor, Service Canada, Teleperformance.
There also will be Community Service providers and Entrepreneur information as well. It should be well worth attending even if you’re not ready for a new change just to meet who is out there.
I spoke with Bob Peters from Economic Development in Cornwall:
“There’s a shortage of employees. I’m hearing more companies looking to hire, and with the new companies like Shoppers Drugmart coming to Cornwall we need to create awareness, and help fill those positions.”

I hope the people that attend realize that they are going to a job fair and come prepared to make a good first impression. Make your own business cards, bring resumes, and dress well… these may be the poeple that write your pay cheque for years to come.
