Cornwall ON – Pam Maloney, Board President of The Aultsville Theatre generously took a few moments of her time as she was looking after last minute details before the esteemed guests were to arrive for this 2nd Annual Mayor’s Celebration of the Performing Arts.
Ms. Maloney shared that Aultsville Theatre is a non-profit organization and this evenings celebration enlisted the time and talents of many generous and talented Entertainers, Actors, Musicians, Artists, Corporate Sponsors and countless volunteers behind the scenes and in front to insure our Regional Performing Artists were presented in their best light and to insure all the attendees had a wonderful evening filled with laughter, song and dance. “All of the local entertainers here this evening have donated their time and talent.
The goal of this evening is twofold; to celebrate The Performing Arts with the Community and to raise money for the refurbishment of Aultsville Hall.” Ms. Maloney shared that all the funds raised from this event would go directly to Aultsville refurbishing projects.
Aultsville Hall is definitely a jewel in the crown of the public venues available in the Cornwall Community. The evening was filled with laugh, song and dance from beginning to final curtain call. Guests were greeted on arrival with the music of The Seaway Winds and the colours and creations of canvases from area Regional Visual Artists including Rachel Bourgon who was painting live during the evening.

The curtain opened to the hilarious antics of the Vagabond Theatre who poked fun at Mayor Kilger and Police Chief Parkinson as they entered stage right. Mayor Kilger warmly welcomed all the attendees and the performers and volunteers making this evening possible.
This was followed by an amazing line-up of talent including Steph McAlear, Graham Greer, Thérèse Motard, Veronica Cherniak, Gabrielle Campbell, Studio ‘C’ Dance School, Seaway Valley Theatre Company, Katharina Gref, Brian St. Pierre, MacCulloch Dancers, The Centennial Choir of Cornwall, Jim Malyon, Gabrielle Campbell, Sara Murphy, Nancy Beaudette who had the audience join her in a sing-along of her original composition, ‘When The Last Whistle Blows” and an array of supporting musicians, dancers and singers greatly appreciated by the attendees.
