Cornwall ON – Cornwall Police just got richer. They will get over 3% per year more after signing a new agreement. In a time of wage freezes, recession, and job losses the city failed in its target of a 2% raise.
Every six months, police officers and their support staff will get a raise that begins with 2% at the end of the first six months.
Six months later, a raise of 1% is part of the agreement.
In 2011, employees of the city police can expect another 2% raise and then a 1.25% raise.
The same raises will be allowed in 2012.
What do you think Cornwall? Did the city cave in by going over the 2% per year raise? You can post your comments below.
