Thousands Flock to Lighthouse in the Rain – Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off 2010 Day 2 – Bachman in Overdrive! July 10, 2010

Cornwall ON – How many times do you ever get to see a horn section live!   It was pouring rain and quixotic that flocks of umbrellas would huddle and listen to the sounds coming from LIGHTHOUSE in Lamoureaux parc last night!

It’s so funny how that just a bit older generation of musicians actually know how to play their instruments and Light House didn’t dissapoint the thousands that came out in the rain and huddled under their umbrellas and refused to let Mother Nature spoil their party!

I want to give a big shout out to Rob Seguin of Corus radio for his assistance.    I personally shot some of the best video I’ve ever taken at a live event as I’m usually hopeless with a camera.   I think in a city like Cornwall we all need to pull together to make sure our city and events like Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off 2010 praises are shared with the world.

All the bands were good, but the crowd shook off the rain and their roar could be heard several blocks away as headliner Randy Bachman and his band took the stage.  It was an amazing evening in the rain and it looks like the weather is going to be perfect for Saturday night’s Chantal Kreviazuk performance supported by Cornwall’s own Graham Greer and Mel & the General Electryk.

See you there!
