Cornwall ON – Here is your police blotter for the weekend of July 10-11, 2010
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Brent Joseph D’Aoust, 52, of Smith Falls was arrested by the Ottawa Police Service on the 10th of July, 2010 on the strength of a Cornwall Police Service warrant. It is alleged that in October 2006 he failed to comply with his Probation Order conditions and a warrant for his arrest was requested. He was held until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Police Service and was released to appear in court on the 12th of August, 2010 to answer to the charge.
ASSAULT A PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, Ont. – Darlene King, 52, of Akwesasne turned herself into police on the 09th of July, 2010 for an incident which occurred on the 27th of June while she was entering Cornwall through the point of entry. It is alleged that she was confrontational with a member of the Canada Border Services Agency and lunged toward the officer during the interaction. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. She was arrested and charged for Assault a Peace Officer and released to appear in court on the 07th of September, 2010.
BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 09th of July, 2010 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Probation Order with condition to Abstain from the consumption of alcohol and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. Police attended a complaint in the area of Fourth Street East and spoke with the youth. The youth was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for 2 counts of Breach of Probation. He was released to the custody of a parent and is to appear in court on the 22nd of July, 2010. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Penny Lynn Lague, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on the 09th of July, 2010 on the strength of a Probation warrant. She was bound by a Probation Order with conditions and failed to report at such times and places as required on the Order. In August 2008, a warrant for her arrest was requested. Police attended her residence on an unrelated matter and arrested her on the warrant. She was released to appear in court on the 09th of August, 2010.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime between 09:00 and 01:39 pm on the 09th of July, 2010 at a second storey apartment in the 100 block of Sydney Street. The suspect(s) entered the residence by kicking in the door. The suspect(s) stole prescription medication and cash. BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – Richard Joseph Zeran, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on the 11th of July, 2010 while riding his bicycle on Second Street East. He was bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Not Leave his residence within 6 hours prior to consuming alcohol. It is alleged that he was operating his bicycle while under the influence of alcohol which caught the attention of the Community Patrol Officer. He was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation and later released to appear in court on the 31st of August, 2010 to answer to the charges.

Cornwall, Ont. – A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested for breaching his conditions on the 11th of July, 2010. He was bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from the use of alcohol and non-prescribed drugs. It is alleged that the youth was under the influence of alcohol when police attended a complaint in the area of St-Felix and Second Street. He was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation and released to the custody of a parent with a September 30th, 2010 court date. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Lorn Fredrick Markell, 43, of Morrisburg was arrested on the 11th of July, 2010 during a routine traffic stop. It is alleged that he was scheduled for court on the 29th of June, 2010 and failed to attend. A Bench warrant for his arrest was issued. He was arrested and held in custody on the strength of the warrant and was scheduled to appear in court the following day.
OVER .80 and BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. – Randall A. Thompson, 25, of Akwesasne was arrested in the early hours of July 11th, 2010. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with condition to Abstain from the consumption of alcohol. On that date, it is alleged that he operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, lost control and was located behind the wheel of the vehicle in a ditch. He was arrested for Over .80 and 1 count of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court the following day.
BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. – Marie Shantel Lazore, 28, of Akwesasne was arrested on the 11th of July, 2010 for breaching her condition. She was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to abide by a curfew. It is alleged that she was entering Cornwall through the point of entry and was detained by a member of the Canada Border Services Agency. She was arrested and for 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and released to appear in court on the 17th of August, 2010 to answer to the charge.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Michael Omer Lapensee, 51, of Cornwall was arrested by the O.P.P. Marine Unit on the 11th of July, 2010 on the strength of an outstanding Probation warrant. It is alleged that he failed to comply with his conditions by failing to make restitution and to complete community service work. A warrant for his arrest had been issued. He was arrested and transported to Marina 200 to meet with a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was released to appear in court on the 17th of August, 2010 to answer to the charge.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(North Stormont) – On 11Jul10, at approximately 7:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Warina Road, North Stormont Township.
The investigation revealed that a male and his 48yr old common-law wife were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female damaging some of the male’s property.
She was arrested and faces a charge of:

She was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
DISTURBANCE
(North Dundas) – On 11Jul10, at approximately 3:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a disturbance on County Road 5, North Dundas, Township.
The investigation revealed that an altercation was ongoing between 2 males when one of the male damaged a vehicle. An 18yr old male (Simon CUNNINGHAM of Montreal, QC) was arrested and faces charges of:
Mischief Under $5,000
He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
THEFT OF ATV
(North Glengarry) – On the 10Jul10, at approximately 11:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on Marlborough St. Maxville, On.
The investigation revealed that sometime between 08th – 10th July, unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed a red 1998 Artic Cat all terrain vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
