Cornwall ON – Here’s your police blotter for Monday August 30, 2010
BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 27th of August, 2010 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to abide by a curfew. A member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Uniform Patrol Officer recognized the Young Person who was walking on Second Street and had knowledge that he was breaching his conditions. He was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation and released to the custody of a parent with a September 30th court date. His name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 16 year Akwesasne female was arrested while entering Cornwall through the point of entry on August 27th, 2010. She was bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to abide by a curfew. It is alleged that she was attempting to enter Cornwall after curfew. She was detained by a member of the Canada Border Services Agency until the arrival of the Cornwall Community Police Service. She was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation and released to the custody of a family member. She is scheduled for court on the 14th of October, 2010 to answer to the charges. Her name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter at a Lefebvre Avenue apartment reported on August 26th, 2010. The suspect(s) entered the apartment through a broken window and stole a black VCR and pictures. If you have any information, please contact the Service by dialing (613) 932-2110.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred in the 600 block of Gloucester Street sometime between 1:30 and 11:30 pm on the 27th of August, 2010. The suspect(s) gained entry through a patio door and stole a PlayStation 3, X-Box 360 and 3 PS3 games. If you have any information, please contact the Service by dialing (613) 932-2110.
WEAPONS DANGEROUS and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 20 year-old Ottawa male was arrested on the 27th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that during an argument with a 30 year old acquaintance, he threatened her with a steak knife. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male being charged with 1 count of Weapons Dangerous and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court on the 30th of August, 2010. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
THEFT UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. – Michel Robert Latulippe, 51, of Cornwall was arrested during a shoplifting incident. It is alleged that he attended a Second Street department store and stole merchandise. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was arrested and charged accordingly and is scheduled to appear in court on the 07th of October, 2010 to answer to the charge.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – A 50 year-old male of No Forwarding Address was arrested on August 27th,2010 on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that in January 2010 police investigated a harassment complaint from his 45 year-old ex-spouse. Following an investigation, police requested a warrant. The request was granted and he was arrested and held in custody until court on the 30th of August, 2010. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
DOMESTIC
Cornwall, Ont. – A 42 year-old male from Cornwall was arrested following a domestic disturbance. It is alleged that he had an argument with his 46 year-old common-law at which time he grabbed her by the arms and banged her head off the wall. It is further alleged that he threatened to kill her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing a charge of Assault and Threats to Life. He was held in custody until court on the 30th of August, 2010. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
THREATS
Cornwall, Ont. – A 48 year-old Cornwall male was arrested for a threats complaint. It is alleged that he had an argument with another male at which time he threatened to injure him. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. He was arrested for 1 count of Threats and held in custody until court on the 30th of August, 2010 to answer to the charge. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
DOMESTIC
Cornwall, Ont. – A 28 year-old Cornwall female was arrested following a domestic disturbance on the 28th of August, 2010. It is alleged that she had an argument with her 27 year-old husband at which time she threw a household item at him and later punched him in the stomach. The male did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and she was arrested and charged with 1 count of Assault with a Weapon and 1count of Assault. Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
DOMESTIC
Cornwall, Ont. – A 22 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 28th of August, 2010 for several offences. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. Since August 21st, it is alleged that he had four arguments with his 19 year-old ex girlfriend. Police allege that during these arguments, the male assaulted her, threatened to kill her and her new partner and to cause damage to her property. Police were contacted and the investigation resulted in the male facing 2 counts of Assault, 3 counts of Threats, 1 count of Criminal Harassment and 1 count of Breach of Probation. WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Nathan David Hartling, 33, of Richmond Hill, Ontario was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Toronto on the 29th of August, 2010. It is alleged that there were 2 outstanding warrants for Failing to appear in court and 2 counts of Break and Enter from 1997. The male was detained by the Toronto Police Service until the arrival of the Cornwall Community Police Service and held in custody until court on the 30th of August, 2010.
DOMESTIC
Cornwall, Ont. – A 30 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 29th of August, 2010 following a domestic disturbance. It is alleged that she had an argument with her 33 year-old husband at which time she scratched his leg. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the female facing 1 count of Assault with a Weapon. She was released to appear in court on the 21st of October to answer to the charge. Cornwall, Ont. – A 47 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of August, 2010 following a domestic disturbance with his 50 year-old common-law. It is alleged that during an argument he grabbed her and pushed her into a bedroom. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing one count of Assault. He was held in custody until court on the 30th of August, 2010. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
DOMESTIC
Cornwall, Ont. – A 31 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of August, 2010 following a domestic disturbance with his 31 year-old wife. He was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that during an argument he struck and kicked her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. It is further alleged that he caused damage to household property during the argument. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault, 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00. Police also allege that while searching the male, they located drugs, believed to be marijuana in his possession. He further faces 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
