Cornwall ON – Here is your police blotter for Cornwall Ontario for Friday September 10, 2010.
ASSAULT, BREACH OF PROBATION, MISCHIEF and THREATS
Cornwall, Ont. – A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 08th of September, 2010 following a domestic disturbance investigation. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on or about the 23rd of August, 2010 he attended his 16 year-old ex-girlfriends’ residence and an argument erupted. Police allege that during the argument, he pushed her and later told her he would stab her. Police further allege that he damaged her cell telephone during the argument. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male being charged with 1 count of Assault, 1 count of Uttering a Threat, 1 count of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Mischief. He was released to the custody of his parents and is scheduled to appear in court on the 18th of November, 2010. His name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THEFT and BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, Ont. – Matthieu Lavictoire, 18, of Monkland was arrested on the 08th of September, 2010 following a shoplifting incident. He was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that he attended a Second Street department store and stole merchandise. He was detained and arrested by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He faces 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and 1 count of Breach of Undertaking. He was later released to appear in court on the 19th of October, 2010 to answer to the charge.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – Fowler Allan Thompson, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on the 09th of September, 2010 following an assault investigation. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from possession, owning or carrying a weapon. He was further bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and to Notify the Cornwall Community Police Service of any change of address. The male was also bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to reside at a specific location, to Not associate with anyone with a Criminal Record and to not be away from his residence between specific hours, unless in the presence of his surety. It is alleged that he attended the Cornwall Community Hospital and assaulted a male by punching and also striking him with a weapon. The male required medical attention for his injuries. Police allege that he was in the company of a male who has a Criminal Record. Police were contacted and an investigation uncovered that the male had moved and had not notified police as per his condition. He faces 2 counts of Breach of Probation, 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking, 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance and 1 count of Assault with a Weapon. He was held in custody until court the following day.
DRUGS
Cornwall, Ont. – Danielle Cleroux, 49 and William Charles Koolstra, 67, of Cornwall were arrested on the 09th of September, 2010 for drug related offences. It is alleged that police attended their residence and located drugs in plant form, believed to be marijuana. The couple each face 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance and 1 count of Production of a Controlled Substance. They were released to appear in court on the 09th of October, 2010 to answer to their respective charges.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Nikala High, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on the strength of a warrant on the 09th of September, 2010. It is alleged that she was arrested on the 25th of July for breaching her Probation conditions and was scheduled to appear in court on the 02nd of September, 2010 and failed to do so. She was held in custody until court later that day.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, Ont. – A 24 year-old St-Andrews female was arrested on the 09th of September, 2010 for Criminal Harassment. It is alleged that since August 12th, 2010, she had made numerous telephone calls and sent several text messages to her 26 year-old ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the female facing 1 count of Criminal Harassment. The female turned herself into police and is scheduled to appear in court on the 19th of October, 2010 to answer to the charge. Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – A 43 year-old Cornwall male was arrested for breaching his conditions on the 09th of September, 2010. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour, to reside at a specific address and to Abstain from possessing any alcoholic beverages. The male was further bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Keep the Peace, to Notify Police or Courts of any change of address and to not be within 50 meters of a specific female’s address. It is alleged that police located him at the female’s residence when they attended on an unrelated matter. Police further allege that he had alcohol in his possession and further confirmed that he had moved and never contacted any agency to advise of the change. He was arrested for 3 counts each of Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name is not being released as it may identify the female in this incident.
THREATS, WEAPONS DANGEROUS and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 35 year-old Akwesasne female was arrested on the 09th of September, 2010 following a threats complaint. She was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that she had an argument with her 37 year-old ex-boyfriend at which time she stated that she uttered a threat to cause him bodily harm or death. Police allege that she had a knife in her possession at the time that the threat was uttered. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the female facing 1 count of Utter Threats, 1 counts of Possession of Weapons Dangerous and 1 count of Breach of Probation. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – Michael James Harding, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on the 10th of September, 2010 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour, to Abstain from the purchase, possession or consumption of alcohol and drugs. It is alleged that the male was under the influence of alcohol when police observed him walking on Walton Street on that date. A check of the male further uncovered prescription drugs which were in his possession. He was arrested for 3 counts of Breach of Probation and released to appear in court on the 21st of October, 2010 to answer to the charges.
IMPAIRED OPERATION and OVER .80
Cornwall, Ont. – Joel Robert Blanchard, 29, of Cornwall was arrested in the early hours of September 10th, 2010. It is alleged that he had operated his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted, attended the area and located the driver asleep at the wheel of the vehicle. He was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Speaking of drug busts, ie the fourth item on this list. I wonder if it takes a lot of educated gold shield detective work to arrest and ruin the life of a man three years short of 70 for smoking a joint in his bedroom? Well, at least the teenagers in Cornwall can sleep safer tonight knowing a 67 year old hippie is getting pistol whipped in a dungeon somewhere.

Dear Baby Boomers. Thanks for paying fifty years of income tax. Now the kids are going to lock you up just like you thought they would. Fight back or lay down. Under Bill S-10 pensioners would be looking at five years minimum jail time for this if found guilty. You aren’t allowed canes, walkers or wheel chairs in prison.
October 9th has come and gone. Did the Crown remove Koolstra’s kidneys or what? Anyone go to the Saturday trial?
