Habs Fumble 5-3 to Sabres – Jaroslav Halak leads Blues to 4-1 win over Stanley Cup Champ Black Hawks – NHL PRE-SEASON SCORES – October 1, 2010

Cornwall ON – Yes that’s Newsy Lalonde in the top right corner.  Montreal could’ve used him last night as they fell 5-3 to the Buffalo Sabres.  Alex Auld took the loss in net.     The good news is that it seems apparent where issues are on the Montreal.  The bad news is that it’s not clear that Pierre Gauthier will be able to address any of them.   We’ll be covering that in our profile of the Habs which we’ll have ready before the puck drops for the season opener against the Maple Leafs.

Speaking of Hab greats Jaroslav Halak led the Blues to a 4-1 victory over the Stanley Cup defending Black Hawks.    Typical Halak, his team was outshot, 31-26.

In other NHL scores Columbus doubled the winless in pre-season not so Minnesota Wild 4-2, and Mike Ribeiro scored as Dallas edged 2-1.
