Habs Good Enough in 2-1 Win over Buffalo – Leafs keep Rolling over Rangers 4-3 in OT – NHL Scores – October 16, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Every win is a good win and last night the Montreal Canadiens and their goalie Carey Price were good enough to edge the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in Montreal.  Stung after their OT loss to Tampa Bay les boys needed to put one in the W column.

New comer Alex Picard potted a goal as did Josh Gorges on the Power play.   Good to see Scott Gomez get a point.   Roman Hamrlik being back to help stabalize the D didn’t hurt either.

Montreal out shot Buffalo 28-23.

The very hot Clarke MacArthur potted another goal in the Leafs 4-3 win over the Rangers who also lost Marian Gaborik for 2-3 weeks as well as Chris Drury who returned from a broken finger for his first game of the season and re broke the same finger!

In other NHL scores: The LA Kings crowned Vancouver 4-1; it was Atlanta 5-4 over Anaheim in OT; Patrick Sharp’s 2 goals helped the Black Hawks to a 5-2 win over Columbus;  the Penguins needed OT to overcome the Islanders 3-2; and Colorado beat the Devils in New Jersey 3-2.
