Habs Shut out by Atlanta – Sens Lose, Calgary Wins, Vancouver Hooks Sharks – NHL SCORES – November 27, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Another tough team, another loss.    It’s amazing how a team like Montreal can beat Philly on a night and then get shut out by Atlanta.

Atlanta is hot right now ,but it’s….Atlanta.   The Habs simply were out muscled and in the 2nd period out played.

Poor Alex Auld who has enough problems being…Alex Auld faced 47 shots in the 3-0 shoot out loss.   The Habs mustered 25 shots.

The team’s needs are becoming clearer game by game, but do the Habs have what it takes to aquire a Top 6 forward with a bit of grit and offense?   Is any such player like a Wayne Simmonds available?

Is Pierre Gauthier able enough a GM to address the team’s issues?   Is Max Pacioretty ready to jump back to the NHL and if so can he be effective?

Vancouver beat rivals San Jose 6-1.   Great game for the Nucks; Andy MacDonald’s two goals weren’t enough as Dallas edged the Blues 3-2; the Rangers shut out Florida 3-0; the Leafs fell again, this time 3-1 to Buffalo who have their own issues with what to do with Craig Rivet.

Detroit, the marvel of the leagues this season, nipped Columbus 2-1 as they steam ahead towards the play offs; Alex Semin’s Hat Trick led Washington to their 6-0 romp over Tampa Bay; Chicago 4-1 over Anaheim; Jose Theodore got the Win as the Wild chomped Nashville 5-2; penalties killed Ottawa in their 2-1 loss to the Penguins; Calgary actually won a game, in the shoot out, 3-2 over Philly.

The Islanders and Rick DiPietro shut out the Devils 2-0, and Carolina shut out Boston 3-0.

The Habs face off against the Sabres tonight with Carey Price back between the pipes.    So hockey fans, what do you think will happen trade wise?  You can post your comments below.
