Cheshire Born Actor Pete Postlethwaite Dies at Age 64 After Long Battle With Cancer – January 1, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Veteran actor Pete Postlewaite has died after a lengthy battle with Cancer at the age of 64.

Perhaps best known for his roles in the films, The Name of the Father, The Usual Suspects, and Jurassic Park, Mr. Postelwaite begain his career touring in theatre before  appearing in shows like Coronation Street. (1981)

The father of 3 and husband of wife Jacqueline was much appreciated by many of his contemporaries with Director Stephen Spielberg suggesting he was one of the best ever.

Mr. Postlewaite, OBE, worked right up until this year with 2011’s Killing Bono to be released.     He was in over 94 films and tv productions including A Private Function, Alien 3, Brassed Off, Dragon Heart, Romeo & Juliet, Amistad, and Clash of the Titans and Inception in 2010.
