Habs lose to Isle in OT 4-3 – Leafs Lose – Fisher Traded to Nashville – NHL SCORES – February 11, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Desperate times call for desperate measures, but the one player The Montreal Canadiens cannot afford to lose right now is Defenceman Roman Hamrlik.

The Veteran ate 27+ minutes of ice time in the Habs 4-3 Shoot Out Loss to the New York Islander in Long Island.  Former Islander James Wisniewski played over 28.   Montreal out shot the Islanders 40-34 and Alex Auld took the loss.

I told myself I won’t say anything else nasty about Mr. Ault as I’ve shared on him.     Big news out of Ottawa as the Sens traded popular centre Mike Fisher to Nashville for a 1st round draft pick AND a conditional pick the following season.

Not too shabby and now Mr. Fisher can spend more time at home with his missus, Country Singer, and American Idol alumni,  Carrie Underwood.

“It was old time hockey and it was kind of bush, too,” added Pouliot. “But Boston’s that kind of team…”

Betcha that ends up on a locker room wall next time Mr. Pouliot plays the Bruins.

In other NHL scores; the Devils edged the Leafs 2-1 in OT; Philly also beat Carolina 2-1; It was 2-1 for Pittsburgh over LA with Jordan Staal scoring the winner in overtime; and Buffalo tamed the Panthers 3-2.

Lots of great hockey trade buzz going on, but I’m not so sure any big blockbusters will take place any time soon….What do you think Canadian hockey fans?  You can post your comments below.
