Cornwall ON – A lot of people in the Cornwall Ontario area have been missing their favorite burger bistro, Truffles Burger Bar. The popular eatery created a ton of buzz before being hit by fire early this winter.
I caught up with Dominique Gilgen to find out what the scoop is and the future of the resto and she had a ton to share!

The restaurant is on schedule to re-open at the former Freeman Sports building at 155 Pitt Street just a few doors down. The architect’s plans are almost finished and IF the permits are done in a timely fashion residents can be eating burgers again by late May or early April!
Ms Gilgen also shared a few scoops with me. They are going to be having a Truffles clothing line as they had a lot of requests for the T-shirts that staff like Mel would wear and they are going to have some hats and jackets too!
There is also going to be a Phoenix burger as well as some new varieties, but I’ve been sworn to secrecy on that one and can’t tell you much at the risk of being cut off from burgers when they re-open!
The mosiac horse which was striking to look at behind the bar also has been preserved and will be restored to glory in the new location.
It should be a busy Spring and Dominque shared that many of the staff from Truffles will be back in the new location.
Hungry?
Can’t wait to sink my teeth into a delicious Truffles burger. Reopen already!
