Cornwall ON – Elaine MacDonald was officially nominated to represent the SD&SG NDP in the October Provincial election making this riding one to watch. Ms MacDonald is by far the most experienced politician of the three candidates to date for the October election. She’s also the most accomplished speaker as the video we’ll be posting shows as well.
The money question is whether the wave of Federal NDP success can carry over to her campaign, and if she can either build as strong a machine as the local Conservatives or put in the sheer work as the Mark A MacDonald Liberal team? That in conjunction with the retirement of MPP Jim Brownell surely point the best opportunity for the long time City Councilor and former teacher’s chances.
