THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Nancy Patricia Hutt, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of July, 2011. She was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of good behaviour. She was also bound by an Undertaking Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 13th of July, 2011 she attended a Brookdale Avenue Grocery Store and stole merchandise. A passerby attempted to stop the female however Nancy Hutt struck her. The passerby did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. She was charged with Theft under $5000.00 and Assault. She was held in custody until court the following day.
THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Jesse James Dufresne, 20, Renee Jeannine Senecal, 35, and Marie Roberta Appleton, 47, all of Cornwall were arrested on the 13th of July, 2011. Mr. Dufresne was bound by an Undertaking Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that they attended a Vincent Massey store and stole merchandise. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. They were charged with theft under $5000.00. Mr. Dufresne was also charged with 1 count of Breach of Undertaking. Further investigation revealed that Renee Senecal had in her possession a controlled substance. She was charged accordingly. They were released to appear in court on the 11th of August, 2011 on their respective charges.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, OVERCOMING RESISTANCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 21 year old Cornwall man was arrested on the 14th of July, 2011. It is alleged that between October 2009 and December 2010, the male engaged in altercations with his 20 year-old girlfriend. During these altercations, it is alleged that he assaulted her, threatened her and sexually assaulted her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 4 counts of Assault, 3 counts of Overcoming Resistance (choking), 2 counts of Sexual Assault, 1 count of Assault with a Weapon and 1 count of Threats to cause death. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the incident.
THEFT and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON- Damian Micheal MacDermid, 23 of Moose Creek was arrested on 14th of July, 2011 following a shoplifting incident. He was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 14th of July, 2011, he attended a Water Street store and stole merchandise. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was arrested and charged with 1 count of Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court the following day.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on the 14th of July, 2011. It is alleged that she engaged in an altercation with her 20 year-old ex-boyfriend when she threatened him. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. She was charged with 1 count of Uttering threats to cause Bodily Harm. She was released to appear in court on the 9th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge. Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, Ont. – A 40 year-old Long Sault woman was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 for breaching her conditions. She was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Not communicate directly or indirectly with a specific male or to attend his residence. On the offence date, it is alleged that the female was located by a member of Community Patrol in the male’s driveway. Police arrested the female for 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and she was released to appear in court on the 26th of July, 2011. Her name is not being released.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. – A 62 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 13th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. On July 7th, it is alleged that during an argument with his 47 year-old wife, he assaulted her by punching her in the arm and kicking her calf. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault. DOMESTIC ASSAULT and BREACH
Cornwall, Ont. – A 50 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 13th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. The male was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that during an argument with his ex-girlfriend, he threw a household item in her direction. The female did not suffer any injury. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault with a Weapon and 1 count of Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court. BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. – A 14 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 13th of July, 2011 for breaching her conditions. She was bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to Abide by a curfew and to Follow the house rules. On the offence date, it is alleged that she was away from her residence after curfew and attempted to engage in an altercation with another female. Police were contacted and an investigation has resulted in the young person facing 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name is being withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime around 3 am. at a Brookdale Avenue business. The suspect(s) gained entry by throwing a rock through the main entrance glass door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole money. BREACH OF UNDERTAKING and PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 11th of July, 2011 during a routine traffic stop for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Not have any communication with a specific male. The youth was located as a passenger in a motor vehicle and police allege that he was located in the company of the male. As a result, the youth was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to the custody of a parent and is scheduled to appear in court on the 04th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING and PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – An 18 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 11th of July, 2011 during a routine traffic stop for breaching his conditions. He was bound by an Undertaking Order and a Probation Order with conditions to Not have any contact with persons known to him to have a criminal record and to Not have any communication with a specific male. The male was located as a passenger in a motor vehicle and police allege that he was located in the company of the specified male. It is also alleged that another male in the vehicle had a criminal record. As a result, he was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on the 02nd of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. – Michal Falecki, 26, of Mississauga was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 following an altercation at a Second Street West establishment. It is alleged that when the male was asked to leave the premises, he broke a window. Police attended and the male was arrested for 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00. He was released to appear in court on the 02nd of August, 2011 to answer to the charge.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, Ont. – A 14 year-old Cornwall female turned herself into police on the 12th of July, 2011 for breaching her conditions. She was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Abide by a curfew and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. On the previous day, it is alleged that she left her residence and failed to return home for curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The young person is facing 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and she was held in custody until court. Her name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT and MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. – A 19 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 following an investigation. It is alleged that the male made repeated contact with his 17 year-old ex-girlfriend despite warnings. On May 13th, it is also further alleged that he caused mischief to her motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male is facing 1 count of Criminal Harassment and 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING and PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – Christopher Bruce Cameron, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 during a routine traffic stop. He was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Not operate a motor vehicle and 2 Probation Orders with the same condition: To Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. On the offence date, it is alleged that the male was operating a motor vehicle in the east end of the city and failed to stop for police. The driver fled the area on foot and was located a short distance away. He is facing 1 count of Flight from Police Officer, 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court on the 26th of July, 2011 to answer to the charges.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. – A 25 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 37 year-old common law spouse, he pushed her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male is facing 1 count of Assault and he is scheduled to appear in court on the 13th of July, 2011 to answer to the charge. BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. – Nikala High, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 for failing to abide by her conditions. She was bound by a Recognizance Order with the following conditions: to abide by a curfew and to reside at a specific location. On the offence date past curfew, it is alleged that she was operating an e-bike on Sydney Street. She was stopped by a member of Community Patrol and it was learned that she was breaching her curfew condition. Further investigation also revealed that she was not residing at the specified address. Subsequently the female is facing 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance. She was held in custody until court.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. – Justin James Pawis-Lepage, 19, of Cornwall was arrested in the early hours of July 13th, 2011. Police responded to a call of glass break at a Pitt Street business and they allege that he caused the damage to the window. The male received medical attention for his injuries. He is facing 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00 and was released to appear in court at a later date.
