CFN – Sadly this is so not a surprise. Singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at the age of 27. The Back in Black songstress had struggled with drug and alcohol issues to the point of tragedy for years; most of it in the media’s glare and spotlight.
Performances like this one recently in Belgrade resulted in boos from the crowd.

Compared vocally to the late Billie Holiday who suffered her own travails with drugs Amy broke through with songs like Rehab. Her beehive hair and heavy eye make up changing fashion as fast as her songs climbed the charts.

It’s always a shame when someone’s inner demons cause their life to come to an early end, regardless of whether they are in the public eye or not. For every Amy, how many thousand unknown men and woman are losing their battles on a daily basis?
Human nature is so frail – we are a very intelligent species, yet so many struggle with inner issues that result in self-destructive behavior, often with a tragic outcome.
Sometimes I think we are too complex for our own good. So sad when anyone loses their walk through life, and Amy is an example of the people around us that also might need some help from a friend.
If you know anybody with troubles, please listen to them and try to be encouraging. Perhaps they’ll seek a better way if they believe somebody cares about them.
This is sad. A great talent. Not unexpected, but still a total bummer.
