CHARGES LAID

(South Glengarry, On.) –  On July 23 at approximately 4:00am, SD&G OPP officers were dispatched to a domestic occurrence on Riverview Drive located in South Glengarry County.
The investigation revealed that a husband and wife engaged in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical altercation.
The male, 34 years old from South Glengarry was arrested and faces charges of;

  • Assault
  • Mischief under $5000

The male was released on a Promise to Appear in Cornwall Court on August 9th to answer to the charge.

IMPAIRED CHARGES LAID

(South Stormont, On.)-  On July 23, at approximately 4:25pm, SD&G OPP officers were dispatched to assist Provincial Offence Officers on the Long Sault Parkway located in South Stormont County.
The investigation revealed that Provincial Offence Officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on a black Ford Explorer.  Upon officers arriving, it was determined the male driver was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Robert Menard, 53 from Gloucester, Ontario was arrested and faces charges of;

  • Impaired Operation
  • Exceed 80 milligrams of alcohol

Menard was released on a Promise to Appear in Cornwall Criminal Court on August 2.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

(South Stormont, On.)- On July 23 at approximately 9:33pm, SD&G OPP officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Saunders Avenue in the Village of Long Sault, South Stormont County.
The investigation revealed that a husband and wife engaged in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical confrontation.
The 44 year old male was arrested and faces charges of;

  • Assault

The male was released on a Promise to Appear in Cornwall Criminal Court on August 9 to answer to the charge.
