PUBLIC ASSISTANCE- MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

 

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision which occurred on the 10th of September, 2011 at 2:57 p.m. at Thirteenth Street West and Lisieux Street. A motor vehicle and a cyclist were involved in the collision. If you have any information in regards to this incident, please contact D/Cst. Darrell Blakely at 613-933-5000 ext 2754.

 

DRUGS

 

            Cornwall, ON- Bonnie Thompson-Goulet, 39 and Jeffrey Goulet, 44 both of Cornwall were arrested on the 6th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 6th of September, 2011 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation and found them in possession of a controlled substance. They were both charged with Possession Obtained by Crime, Possession of a controlled substance and Possession for the Purpose of trafficking. They were released to appear in court at a later date.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 9th of September, 2011 under the strength of a Youth Probation Warrant.  It is alleged that the warrant was sought on the 9th of September, 2011. The youth was held in custody until court later that day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

ROBBERY & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 9th of September, 2011. The youth was bound by a Youth Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. The youth was also bound by a Recognizance with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 8th of September, 2011 the youth approached another youth and stole sunglasses. When the victim attempted to retrieve the sunglasses, he was assaulted. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was located and charged with Robbery, Breach of Probation Order and Breach of Recognizance. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREACH OF UNDERTAKING

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 19 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 9th of September, 2011. He was bound by an Youth Criminal Justice Act Undertaking with the condition to be in his residence from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily and Keep the Peace and be of Good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 9th of September 2011, shortly prior to 11:00 p.m. the man was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be away from his residence. He was charged with two counts of Breach of Undertaking and released to appear in court on the 29th of September, 2011 to answer the charges. His name was not release as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

DOMESTIC OVERCOMING RESISTANCE

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 47 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 10th of September, 2011, he entered into an altercation with his 43 year-old common-law wife when he choked her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The victim did not suffer any injuries. The male was charged with Overcoming Resistance of offence- choking and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

OVER .80

 

            Cornwall, ON- Brandon Osborn, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle on Montreal Road while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Over .80 and released to appear in court on the 1st of November, 2011 to answer to the charge.

 

DANGEROUS DRIVING & RESIST ARREST 

 

Cornwall, ON- Diane Danielle Lalonde, 51 of Ingleside was arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. She was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 10th of September, 2011 shortly prior to 3:00 a.m. a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division observed her operating a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed and erratically.  A traffic stop was conducted when she resisted arrest. She was charged with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle, Resist Arrest and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 10th of September 2011. It is alleged that on the 10th of September 2011 shortly after 12:00 p.m. the youth was observed entering an unlocked vehicle and stealing a purse. He was followed and detained by a good citizen and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police . The youth was charged with Theft under $5000.00 and released to an adult with a court date of the 15th of September, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREACH OF RECONIZANCE

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 26 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. She was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions of;

you must not contact with a certain person or communicate with them by telephone, mail, e-mail or in any other way or have another person communicate with them for you, you must not possess or drink any alcohol, and you must not possess or use any illegal drug, an you must live at a certain address. It is alleged that on the 6th of September, 2011 she was in Cornwall with the said person while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. She was located and charged with 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON- A 52 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 24th of June, 2011, he entered into an altercation with his 48 year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her and broke her nose. The victim attended for medical treatment. It was also alleged that on the 10th of September, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his common-law wife and threaten to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Threats to cause death. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old youth and her 61 year-old grand-father were arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. It is alleged that when confronted by a 46 year-old neighbour they assaulted her with a hockey stick. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. They were both charged with Assault with a Weapon and released to appear in court on the 29th of September, 2011 to answer to the charge. The name s were not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old youth male was arrested on the 10th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order as well as Recognizance both with the relevant conditions to abide by a curfew of 11:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. and Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 10th of September, 2011 shortly prior to 11:15 p.m. a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division observed the man walking on Eighth Street breaching his conditions. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was released to appear in court on the 27th of September, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- A 49 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 11th of September, 2011. She was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions may have contact and reside with a certain person providing both parties do not consume alcohol, and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 11th of September, 2011 she was found to be under the influence of alcohol while with the certain person. She was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on the 20th of September, 2011. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.

Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old youth was arrested on the 11th of September, 2011. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the with the relevant conditions Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and reside at a place that the Provincial Director/Youth Worker may specify and comply with the routine and discipline of such residence. The youth was also bound by a Remand Warrant as well as a Recognizance with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of good Behaviour, It is alleged that on the 9th of September, 2011 the youth left the group home without permission and failed to return. On the 11th of September, 2011 he was located by the Ontario Provincial Police and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was charged with Unlawfully at Large, 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and 1 count of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- Christopher Riviere, 26 and Lynn Pyper 36 both of Cornwall were arrested on the 11th of September, 2011. Both were bound by an Undertaking/Recognizance with the conditions of not to consume alcohol absolutely or be anyplace where alcohol is sold and not to communicate with one another. It is alleged that on the 11th of September, 2011 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division observed them outside a local establishment talking to one another and under the influence of alcohol. They were charged accordingly and released to appear in court on the 27th of September, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON- A 21 year-old male was arrested on the 11th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 11th of September, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 18 year-old common-law wife when he caused damage to a wall. He was charged with Domestic Mischief and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on the 4th of October, 2011. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2005 Ford F150 Pick-up truck blue in colour from a First Street East address sometime between the evening of the 9th of September, 2011 and the 10th of September, 2011. If you have any information regarding the theft of this vehicle, please contact the Service by dialling (613) 932-2110.

 

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON & THREATS

Cornwall, ON- Michel Dion, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on the 11th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 10th of September, 2011 he uttered a Death Threat to a 32 year-old male acquaintance while holding a baseball bat. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Uttering Threats and Assult with a Weapon. He was released to appear in court on the 27th of September, 2011.

 

BREAK & ENTER

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 10th of September, 2011 and the 11th of September, 2011 at a Montreal Road business. The suspect(s) gained entry by prying open a rear door and proceeded to steal a numerous jewellery, watches, a duck decoy, a black digital Canon Rebel EOS 35mm camera and a black 8GB iPod Touch. Nyle Adam PRAIRE of Cornwall) was stopped and arrested.He faces charges of:

  • Flight from Police Officer
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Breach of Probation Order
  • Dangerous Operation – Motor vehicle

He was held in cuastody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

ASSAULT

(South Stormont) – On 11Sept11, at approximately 9:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Cornwall center Road, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that two males were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in one male assaulting the other.

A 19yr old male (Jonathan BEDARD of Hawkesbury) was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Assault with a Weapon

He is scheduled to appear 25Oct11 in Cornwall court.
