BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Owen Jesmer 30, of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of October 2011. He was bound by the provisions of a recognizance with the relevant condition to not be away from his residence without his surety. It is alleged that on the 14th of October 2011 he was observed by police away from his residence without his surety and subsequently charged with breaching his release condition . The male was held in custody to appear in court on the 15th of October, 2011.
Cornwall, ON- Mathew Lamarche, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of October 2011. He was bound by the provisions of 2 separate undertakings with the relevant conditions to abide by a curfew 10pm to 6am and keep the peace and be of good behavior. He was also bound by the provisions of a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that on the 14th of October 2011 he was observed by members of the Community Patrol Division in a vehicle at a R.I.D.E. program, past his curfew. The male was subsequently charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking and 1 count of breach of probation. He was held in custody to appear in court on the 15th of October, 2011.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 26 year old Cornwall man was arrested on the 11th of October 2011. He was bound by the provisions of a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with 18-year-old common-law. He was also bound by the provisions of a prohibition order with the relevant condition to refrain from attending a public park or public swimming area where persons under 16 can reasonably be expected to be present. It is alleged that on the 11th of October 2011 he attended a public park and met with the named person. It is also alleged that on the same date he attended her residence and assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The male was charged with assault, 2 counts of breach of probation and 1 count of breach of prohibition order. He was held in custody until court the next day. His name is being withheld as it would identify the victim in this incident.
THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON- Chantal Dionne, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on the 15th of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 22nd of September 2011 she entered a local department store and left with merchandise. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. On the 15th of October 2011 she was charged with 1 count of theft under $5000.00. She was released to appear in court on the 8th of November 2011.
Cornwall, ON- David Craig, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on the 15th of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 5th of October he used a stolen debit card and withdrew money from an ATM. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. On the 15th of October 2011 he was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, fraud under $5000 and use of a stolen credit/debit card. He was released to attend court on the 8th of November 2011.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year old Cornwall female was arrested on the 15th on October 2011. It is alleged that the young person failed to attend court on the 1st of September and as a result a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. On the 15th of October she was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held in custody to appear in court on the 16th of October, 2011. The youth’s name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Cornwall, On – A 17 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 16th of October 2011. The youth was bound by a probation order and a recognizance with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, curfew, notify police of any change of address and reside at a certain address. It is alleged that on the 4th of October 2011 he caused damage to his home, left and did not return. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. On the 16th of October he was located by police and charged with mischief under $5000, breach of probation(x4) and breach of recognizance(x4). He was held in custody to appear in court on the 17th of October, 2011. The youth’s name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Cornwall, On- A 19 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 16th of October 2011. The male was bound by the provisions of 2 adult probation orders and 1 youth probation order all with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 10th of September 2011 he got into a physical altercation with a 61 year old male, swung a baseball bat and subsequently struck the male’s 62 year old wife. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. On the 16th of October 2011 the male was charged with assault with a weapon and 3 counts of breach of probation. He was held in custody to appear in court on the 17th of October, 2011. The man’s name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, On- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a residential break and enter which occurred on the 14th of October in the 200 block of Guy Street. The suspect(s) gained entry by kicking open the front door. Although no items were taken during the break and enter, the suspects caused damage to a big screen T.V., grandfather clock and hutch. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a residential break and enter which occurred on the 15th of October in the 400 block of Watert Street. The suspect(s) gained entry by prying open the front door and proceeded to remove a Sony Playstation3, numerous Playstation games, 3 iPods, jewellery and a small sum of Canadian currency. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 16th of October in the 1100 block of Pitt Street. A male broke the glass of a front door restaurant and attempted to remove the cash register. The owner, on scene at the time attempted to apprehend the suspect however the suspect managed to run away without the cash register. The suspect is described as being 5’11”, approximately 175lbs, slim build and last seen wearing a dark jacket, dark pants and dark gloves. CHARGES LAID
(North Glengarry) – On 14Oct11, at approximately 12:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a fraud on Main St. Alexandria, On.
The investigation revealed that a 29yr old female (Donna Michelle SATTERLEY of Sainte-Genevieve, QC) attempted to obtain a credit card at a financial institution using false identification.
She was arrested and faces charges of:
- Personation with Intent – Intent to Gain Advantage
- Utter Forged Document
- Obtain Credit by False Pretences or Fraud
She is scheduled to appear 07Dec11 in Alexandria court.
