BREAK & ENTER ARREST
Cornwall, ON- Trevor Murphy, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on the 26th of October, 2011. It is alleged that between January 2010 and October 2011 he committed several break and enters in the City of Cornwall. As a result of an ongoing investigation by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Bureau, he has been charged with 19 counts of break & enter. The service has recovered numerous articles such as laptops and various electronic equipment. He remains in custody to appear in court on the 31st of October, 2011.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Torran Mitchell, 18 of Snye NY was arrested 27th of October 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behavior. Is it alleged that between the 21st of April, 2011 and the 26th of April, 2011 he deposit several empty envelopes at a bank and withdrew money. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 5 counts of breach of undertaking and 5 counts of fraud under $5000.00. He was held in custody until court the following day.
BREACHES & DRUGS
Cornwall, ON- Ronald Villeneuve, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on the 27th of October, 2011. He was bound by an undertaking with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that on the 27th of October, 2011 he was found to have possession of a controlled substance by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit. He was charged with breach of undertaking and possession of a controlled substance. He was released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2011.
ASSAULT & THREATS
Cornwall, ON- A 24 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 27th of October, 2011. It is alleged that on the 27th of October, 2011 he got into an altercation with his ex-girlfriend’s 26 year-old boyfriend when he assaulted and threaten him. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with assault and utter death threat. He was released to appear in court on the 18th of November, 2011. 3

CHARGES LAID
(North Dundas) – On October 26, 2011, SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of the theft of a motorcycle from a residence in the Village of Winchester, North Dundas Township. The investigation led officers to the arrest of a 16yr old male (from Russell, ON). The youth was apprehended on October 28, 2011 at approximately 1:00am. Further information revealed he was bound by conditions from a previous police incident. He is charged with;
- Theft under $5000.00
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking (2 counts)
He was held in custody, pending a court appearance (bail) in Cornwall this date (28Oct11).
BREAK-IN/THEFT
(North Stormont) – On October 27, 2011, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a break-in of an outbuilding at a property on Tolmies Corners Road, North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that over the past three (3) days, chainsaws and an assortment of tools were removed.
An investigation continues.
