THREAT & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- Ryan Kisnics, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on August 24th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on August 24th, 2012 he uttered a threat to a 32-year-old female neighbour. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Utter Threat and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on September 11th, 2012.

 

THEFT & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- Roger Bastien, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on August 24th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on August 24th, 2012 he attended a Second Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. He was detained by the store’s loss prevention officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Theft under $5000 and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on September 25th, 2012.

 

MISCHIEF & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 25th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that between August 19th, 2012 and August 24th, 2012 he caused damage to neighbouring residence with a sling shot. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Mischief under $5000 and breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on September 4th, 2012. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

FRAUD, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT & IMPERSONATION

 

            Cornwall, ON- John Michael Meehan, 34 of St. Hubert, Quebec was arrested on August 26th, 2012. It is alleged that on April 12th, 2012 he attended a local bank and attempted to withdraw money with someone else’s identification and forged documents. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Fraud under $5000, Utter Forged Document & Impersonation. He was released to appear in court on September 27th, 2012.

 

DOMESTIC CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 26th, 2012. It is alleged that on August 25th, 2012 he sent unwanted text messages to his 57-year-old ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- Pierre Lalonde, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2012. It is alleged that on August 27th, 2012 he caused damage to a 48-year-old male acquaintance’s motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Mischief under $5000 and released to appear in court on September 25th, 2012.

PUBLIC MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- Shane Sarault, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on August 24th, 2012. It is alleged that on August 24th, 2012 at approximately 1:00 a.m. he intentionally called 9-1-1 and left the area. He was found and was charged with Public Mischief. He was released to attend court on September 13rd, 2012.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] Victims Identified in Fatal Collision 2012-08-27

(South Dundas) – The Ontario Provincial Police, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment have identified the persons involved in the fatal collision that occurred early this morning on Highway 401, near Iroquois, On.

A two month old infant girl (Moriah Gloria WARREN), 22yr old female (Elissa REID) and a 78yr old female (Sheila McGLASHEN) all of Chateauguay, QC, were pronounced deceased at the scene of a two vehicle collision involving a brown 1986 Chevy van and a 2005 Volvo tractor trailer.

The driver of the tractor trailer (44yr old Sergey LUCIN of York, On) was treated at the Cornwall Community Hospital McConnell site for minor injures and released.

Three other people in the Chevy van were transported to the Winchester hospital and subsequently to the Civic Hospital in Ottawa with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 401 westbound opened to traffic at approximately 9:30am while one lane of Highway 401 eastbound remains closed as emergency crews remove the tractor trailer from the south ditch.

SD&G OPP officers, assisted by the Technical Traffic Collision Investigators continue the investigation.

 

(North Dundas) – On 23Aug12, at approximately 6:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a sexual assault on County Road 43, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a male made inappropriate comments to a young female teenager.

The 46yr old male (from Ottawa, On) was arrested and faces a charge of:

– Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age

He is scheduled to appear 02Oct12 in Morrisburg court.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] Charges Laid/Break and Enter 2012-08-23

 

(North Glengarry) – On 23Aug12, at approximately 12:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a male breaching his earlier release conditions on Lochiel St. Alexandria On.

The investigation revealed that a 36yr old male attended the residence of a female that he was not to have any contact with.

The male was arrested a short time later at his residence in Cornwall, On.

He faces charges of:

– Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance x2

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
BREAK AND ENTER

(South Dundas) – On 22Aug12, at approximately 1:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Lightning St. South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed a ’55’ inch flat screen T.V as well as a lap top computer and a pressure washer.

The investigation is ongoing.
(North Dundas) – On 22Aug12, at approximately 4:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on McLaughlin St. North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed two lap top computers.

The investigation is ongoing.
THEFT

(North Dundas) – On 22Aug12, at approximately 10:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on County Road 31, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime over the last week unknown suspect(s) attended a local business and removed a 2012 Massey Ferguson MF940 front loader tractor.

The investigation is ongoing.
