Supreme Court of Canada will NOT hear Galganov / Brisson Forced Bilingual Sign Appeal – Breaking

CFN – Human rights champion Howard Galganov reports that today he received the much-anticipated e-mail concerning his petition made to the Supreme Court. The court of last resort was being asked to overturn a decision made by a Superior Court judge that allows muncipalities to over-ride the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Previously an Ontario Superior Court judge ruled that Russell Township violated the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but that doing so was acceptable. By a very slim majoriy, the township passed a bylaw which demands that all new exterior commercial signage be in English and French, not one or the other and no provision for other languages. Russell was the fourth Eastern Ontario township to do so.
Today the Township of Russell posted the following Press Statement on their website:
“In light of the decision of the Supreme Court of Canada in regards to the leave of appeal from Galganov / Brisson versus Russell in the matter related to the Bilingual Sign Bylaw, we are extremely pleased that the plaintiffs were denied the hearing” said Mr. Jean Paul St-Pierre, Mayor for the Township of Russell. “It finally brings closure to the legal proceedings that were, in all instances, decided in favor of the Municipality by the court. The Court reiterates the fact that the Township was in its legal rights to adopt such bylaw and that Mr. Howard Galganov, a non-resident of the municipality, was in no position to contest the bylaw. We now can move forward for the benefit of our communities” concluded Mayor St.Pierre.”
How ironic that some Franco businesses and municipal agencies choose not to adhere to the bylaw. The municipal Fire Hall in Embrun boasts a unilingual sign which reads: “Poste de Pompiers”.

And, as we reported recently, the Francophone cultural/entertainment centre recently replaced its sign with a high tech version, but still in French only. An employee of La Maison des Arts told us that they were zoned differently (institutional/non-profit), then said that it’s because they provide French education. Apparently the centre previously had posted a small sign which explained that rationale. A member of the local community informed us that La Maison des Arts provides day care service for the French Catholic School across the street; would one not think that to be considered a business venture?
Pierre Leroux ran for and became a Russell Councillor two years ago; he told CFN that it’s widely known that one of his motivating forces in running for Council was the fact that he didn’t feel it right the way that bilingualism was forced upon local businesses. As for today’s Supreme Court announcement, as a member of Council he’s happy that the Township will not have to pay for an expensive legal battle (which he feels could have been avoided), but as a person he feels that the decision is wrong.

So, what about everyone else? People are asking ‘What’s the problem with being fair and allowing everyone a similar degree of freedom of expression?’ That’s a great question!
In our short clip, viewers can plainly see that the animated sign is unilingual and hear for themselves the explanation we received from a staff member of the arts centre.
Galganov was among the presenters at the recent annual Christmas Luncheon hosted by Canadians for Language Fairness at an Ottawa area restaurant. At the gathering, Galganov told the crowd:
“If the Supreme Court decides that they’re not going to hear the case, then it becomes the law of Canada. Any municipality can legislate, not just on issues of language and culture, but on any of the guarantees in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Charter is essentially a Charter of Suggestions. Any time a judge or group of judges of one mindset or the other can decide what is to be protected and what is not to be protected it means we have no guarantees. Freedom of Expression is the foremost guarantee we have in any free society.”
In our highlight video clip (unedited footage provided by Danno Saunt) each of the key presenters at the CLF Luncheon (Beth Trudeau, Howard Galganov, Nick Vandergragt, Brian Lilley, Ron Barr and Jack MacLaren) shares an update on their involvement in the ongoing struggle to preserve basic human rights here in Canada.
It is anticipated that Galganov as well as Language Fairness for All and Canadians for Language Fairness will step up their efforts locally and nationally.

Don Smith reports on a variety of topics, notably good news items as well as social justice issues.

Re: Incomplete Bilingualism: How Canadians Evaluate their Language Skills, by Jack Jedwab

Edudyorlic, the link is not working because, as I said in that post,
Mr. Jedwab succumbed to pressure from influential francophone group and removed his poll from the ACS website.
I have the name of the poll and the link in my archives. I should have anticipated francophone ambush and saved the text of the poll.
You can find mentions of this poll on freedominion.ca in their 2005 threads. Simply enter the name of the poll in the site’s Search engine.
@ highlander
Why do you post a dec. 29, one again? I’ve already answered it. You presume a lot or, have you got a crystal ball.. If you do, she’s a lot foggy… Need a good bottle of exta- strength windex, for sure.
I told you before. If you really want to fight separatists, join me and, together we’ll fight tap tap, edudyorlik and others who are self-admited separatist.
By uniting with them, and hoping that what is said here, on this blog, can change Canada and kill bilingualism… Well, never mind, I can’t say what I’m thinking, Admin is watching.
But, understand that, were in a kind of bubble here and, very little gets out
So don’t be so serious about what’s written.
Just enjoy the sparring.

Pierre the separatist and now the proponent to encourage more language discrimination with bill 14 and the extension of bill101.
Let the citizens make the choice not the socialist state,it should not be the state that tells you which language you are to speak or write if so freedom of expression is dead.
French people are loosing ground in Canada-what do you think this as a war?
You cannot force people to write or speak in a language for it is thier choice otherwise fredom does not exist.
So Mr.Separatist is this a war to you?
What next Quebec controls freedom of thought?

Short and simple answer tap tap… He one of those Francophone’s that believe THEY ARE BETTER and their language deserves so much MORE in the way of rights and protection. HE truly believes (as do the rest of em) that the constitution and the rights of the majority, and others, be damned as what is MORE important is their language and culture over ALL.
–
OK, it’s the — “sort of” — short and simple answer 🙂
@ Pierre,
You need to get out of Canada and you can have all of the protection you want, have 10 bill 101’s who cares in your independant quebec.
Why not just go pierre, get out then all of your problems regarding protection will be solved
N’est pas?
“The Anglophone share of Canada’s total population dropped from 59.1% in 2001 to 57.8% in 2006, primarily due to the rapid growth of the allophone population. It is the largest percentage decrease of Anglophones since more than fifty years“.
“In the Montréal census metropolitan area, the proportion of the Francophone population dropped from 68.3% in 2001 to 65.7% in 2006, even though their numbers increased by 30,000. The proportion of Anglophones was also down, albeit to a much lesser extent, declining from 12.7% to 12.5% between the two censuses. The changes are primarily due to the growth of the allophone population, which increased to 21.8% in 2006 from 19.0% in 2001″.
Not that these numbers from Stats Canada will affect your propaganda, Pierre, but they clearly show that the Anglo speakers are losing ground in Canada as well.

@ edudyorlik. Nope. Born and raised English. Learned some French while living in Manitoba many years ago, but it’s pretty much all forgotten now. I’m just one of those weird (to you) Anglos who is quite content living in a bilingual land. Life is too short to spend it in a constant state of anger and angst.
Based on Nat’ s figures, both English and french are loosing polulation base.
However, Nat, the Allophones are traditionally allied with the Englsh of Canada.
They send their children to English schools, go to movies in English and have English friends.
If you have children, people will know this to be true and overall associate themselves with English culture ,while traditionally maintaining their specific cultures from whence they came.
On the other hand, quebec, FORCES any foreign culture, including English ,to assimulate into the quebecois, culture, without however, giving any of the benefits of the quebecois culture to them.
So the numbers here are deceiving.
The demographics, have been changing in Canada for years, with an influx, of immigrants to Canada out of job necessity, and other considerations .
quebec is different, as usual. They have their own IMMIGRATION system and operate by a different set of rules.
here is their problem. When they get immigrants, they are FORCED INTO THE quebecois system.
After years being subjected to this system and seeing what is available in Canada, a goodly number of them leave to other parts of canada. as do many francophones.
So in fact, not only is quebec’s birth rate low within the quebecois, it now, through their immigration, is not off setting these low quebecois birth rate numbers.
So, the quebecois, numbers, are falling as well.
Add to the fact, that as we speak, the Anglos, still there, are moving, out, very quietly as well. Who the hell wants to live there, other than pierre, stella et al.
Business is declining, people are moving out, and the climate and anti- Englsih atmosphere is seeping through.
francophones, as well, are leaving.
Anyone that has any business sense thinks about getting out, as well.
Quebec is not condisive to generating wealth, or cultural freedom that one would associate with canada. You HAVE TO ASSIMULATE INTO THE quebecois culture or else
quebec also has the largest coporate and income tax rates in the western hemisphere. How much does a licence plate cost in quebec, compared to anywhere else ,thanks to quebec`s NO FAULT INSURANCE
This is one of the many hidden taxes that they are again FORCED to pay.
Despite all of this they are BANKRUPT, A socialist ainti- democratic anti-English society that has as its moniker a
WELFARE STATE.
Any one, french or English, or other ,that has an ounce of brains, will leave as well.
A million anglos have left since 1976, they all can`t be wrong.

I don’t know where you get the idea that you know more about canadian history than I do when, all I’ve ever said about it was that it had not been out of the goodness of their hearts but out of necessity that the british had allowed the “canadiens” to keep their culture, language etc. end quote
You have just proved my point. The Brits didn’t allow Canadians to keep their culture and language, English was to be the official language. Queen Victoria (foolishly we would say today) gave recognition to the French language and I doubt she had any thought that it would be causing the problems of today.
Quoting Pierre: Why, ha,ha, ha, do I have this pain in my side? Ha,ha,ha! When I read you(s). end quote.
Repetiton, OCD and you’re a PITA
@edudyorlik
Quote: Cory, Ken, Chris, tap tap et al, The idea of “where numbers warrant” and this kind of thing MUST BE put aside. end quote.
I omitted to mention “where numbers warrant” so I’ll do it now.
It is extremely important to realise that the “number” is PURELY SUBJECTIVE and will always be contentious. There can be no agreement on numbers and the French will always quote the FLSA.
We cannot argue with the FLSA. We witnessed it being reverted to several times by the French person from Cornwall Hospital Board who addressed the South Stormont Council on the victorious night when the anti sign bye-law passed.
@P.J.Robertson
P.J. you are showing your allegiance to Bonnie Prince Charlie again.
I assume you know that piece of history.
I am pleased that you acknowledge I was correct on there being only one founding nation. I would like to think of the indiginous peoples as the founding nation but it was the formation of the government by Sir John A. MacDonald that made Britain the founder. It is a legal thing more than a who was here first or “where numbers warrant” as the French would prefer.
Surely, as you mentioned, quoting a fact from a government website shouldn’t be contested should it? The government is being run by Francophones so it must be true. n’es pas.
Ed wrote, “I’m just one of those Anglos who is quite content living in a bilingual land.”
–
Well, Ed. I sit corrected. But, I’ll say this. If things WERE exactly the way you elude to them being, then i MAY (i said may) agree with you and not give any of this a second thought.
But, the facts on the ground however, are such that many people see things VERY differently. Actually, what many people see are what I like to call, rational FACTS.
Facts that are based in a REALITY that you and these other — bill 101 is a good thing. Repress and denigrate others to serve your cause whether right or wrong — types either don’t see, or simply refuse to see.
–
Many Anglophone Canadians (who, YOU MUST keep in mind – ARE the majority in this country) are living THE REAL nightmare. Those in “that province” are seeing their rights as Canadians citizens being completely tossed out the window and trampled on while their Federal government DOES NOTHING.
–
Others, in Canada’s capital city are finding it more and more difficult to get work in their own country and even to work for their own government even though, as I stated, you NEED to remember, they ARE the majority group of this country.
–
Now, most would tell you that I LOVE a good debate, and yes, I would agree but, I would also add that I VERY MUCH cherish the concept of rationality. That being said, some of the arguments from the Francophone side of this, shall we call it, “situation” are WAY TOO irrational for me. To the point where I just shake my head as I read some of this nonsensical CR@P.
ONE of those irrational arguments Ed is right there in your previous statement.
–
We are “living in a bilingual land …”
–
WE ARE NOT “living in a bilingual land,” as you call it — AT ALL — Ed.
–
We are right now sharing a country with a group of people that have NEVER quite been able to swallow the bitter pill of defeat. Just take their license plate as a tiny example (perspective). How bitter and resentful can a people be than to have the phrase, Je me Souviens on their license plate when everyone else is looking to find positives about their respective provinces so they can proudly display that phrase to the world.
–
Ottawa = Yours to Discover
Alberta = Wild Rose Country
Nova Scotia = Canada’s Ocean Playground
–
Quebec = Je me Souviens.
English Canada tried to provide services to the French in a reasonable way but the French have responded in a manner reminiscent of the old saying that my dear 100% French Canadian mother (bless her soul) used to say, — Give em an inch and they’ll take a mile –
–
Naw, the fact is Ed, the French want nothing to do with bilingualism. The proof is in bill 101 and in the “province” of Quebec. They are just using that as a rouse to gain control of the ROC. But we Anglophones have a little something to say about that.
–
nuff said.
–
Oh and, have a nice day eh 🙂
@EVERYONE…
Ken wrote to P.J.Robertson regarding the uncertainty about a previous post revolving around a historical FACT and it seems two great minds ( PJ and Ken ) agree.
–
Ken wrote, “I am pleased that you acknowledge I was correct on there being only one founding nation. Ken, you are a wonder. How gratifying to make assumptions the way you do, how superior, even to the point of playing fast and loose with words and facts!
Sloppy spelling and sloppy French are bonus talents. Try ‘indigenous’ and ‘n’est-ce pas?’.
@ ED
perhaps if you experienced loosing one’s job, and being subjected to discrimination and being forced out of your home province, you might have a different take.
Your indiffernce, mocking attitude and total disrespect for people who fought for and value FREEDOM is replusive.
many men died in wars to have the freedom you take for granted and you so lacklusterly enjoy.
There is no anger here, only a common cause so our children will have a Canada, that is free.
You mock this, and don’t give a damm about anyone else.
How low can a person go ?
@ tap tap. You offend way too easily. That’s not a healthy way to be. And I did leave Quebec in the early seventies. But I wasn’t forced out. I left to see what else Canada had to offer. And every day I give thanks that I and my family are here rather than in Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea, Syria, Libya, and on and on.

@ tap tap. You offend way too easily.
Then I would guess most here “offend too easily”,or perhaps its the inflammatory comments EVERYONE agrees that you post.
Your intentions are not to provide a viewpoint to the table but to incite anger and frustration, you take pleasure in this.
So you take pleasure that other’s suffer under discrimination ?
Most post on here as a voice and collective understanding of the wrongs with forced bilingualism and its negative effects on them their family as well as friends -yet you mock them with inflammatory statements with no, notta ,nothing of substance brought into the debate.
So you take pleasure in watching others who struggle to understand why they were discriminated against ,and yet you continue to enjoy this?
Do you enjoy hurting defenseless animals as well ?
Or is your frustration with your present status in life directed at any human around ?
Or is it furtz that you were born an as__ole ,I think that maybe that is the answer.

None the less, the info is very interesting and something i wouldn’t put past “that group.”
@ ED,
Now you know how your words hurt. When you mock, giggle . and tout your posts as being frivorlous, and I respond in kind, that is not based on fabrication.
As for taking offense, since you have not walked in others shoes you are in no position to measure the degree of offense people feel regarding your very insensitive posts.
I also don’t think loosing a job, being forced out of one’s home and having to put children in french school ,without choice
is taking offense too easily.
I think the reaction is normal and I know other people that would go much, much further.
It would also be helpful, if your posts were rooted in facts, instead of mouthing the first thing that comes off the top of your head.
@P.J.Robertson
Sorry about the incorrect French spelling, I learned it in Canada from a tutor who tried to teach me the local language.
Folks, check out the link below and take notice.
The children of Soweto, South Africa, organised a peaceful protest in 1976 that ended in many being killed.
Their simple protest was the imposition of the Afrikaan language
in their schools. They wanted English like the rest of the country. As you all know, the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction now and some of those children who survived will be the leaders today. Hopefully nothing like this will ever happen in Canada because of bilingualism.

For some reason I bypassed most of your earlyer posts…
Maybe it was because, “you know who” come, at me, like a pack of enraged wolfves, every time I post any kind of defense of bilingualism or denounce the half-truths and total fabrications that we read on here.
One of those fabrications being, of course, that you enjoy people’s sufferings, ha,ha! So absurd!

So if you are not a separatist what exactly was this comment to mean?
So Stella you now align yourself with a separatist,so as we knew all along this has nothing to do with you defending Canada because we were apparently separating the country .
This has everything to do with you protecting your status quo,for if it were so you should be arguing with the true person who wishes to separate the country your friend and separatist Pierre.
@ Cory
July 1st. Canaada day
That way we can drown out the 70% of french sung only songs
we can have an already groups of pro english federalists, already there.
We can also get press coverage
We can also let the forced bilingualists know we are not going away
have a rally within a rally sorts speak.

There is no other , country.
Ha,Ha. Ha
I am hoping that the new year brings renewed and productive talks on quebec separation . Go pauline go
I hope as well that Canada begins the movement, through the people, to embark on a course of getting quebec out of our beautiful nation.
What a great relief to be able to unload a dictorical, anti- democratic anti- english and anti- business region that smacks of xenaphobia and racism
Good riddenace and ole
PS We want the name of Les canadians back as well.
Perhaps they can be called the Montreal quebecois,
WOW
How does the 4th of July sound. Seems like an American holiday would be a great day for the majority Anglophones tax paying citizens of this great country to tell our government we have decided to give Quebec and the French the best present EVER. Something they have been aching to have for quite some time now.
–
that’s right, with our full consent and approval we — the majority Anglophone tax paying citizens of this country– agree to hand over to the French (with certain definable restricts to come) the province of Quebec. That’s right, to have and to enjoy as their own country / Nation.
–
They can have it and enjoy it in whatever way they deem fitting. It can be their own little bastion of French language and French culture.
–
In a word or two, their own little land of — “frenchdom” —
–
A place where they can finally have total control over things like, who governs them, as well as control over their own tax base income as well.
–
That’s right a completely English free zone. A zone free from the heaven forsaken scorn know as the English language and the English Culture. All except for tourists if they choose to go that is…
–
Now, just like the spoiled teenager reaping all the benefits of living in the family basement without having to work while sucking free food, shelter and money from the parents (us), these French folks just MAY NOT be too willing to leave so freely. So, WE — the majority Anglophone tax paying citizens of this country — further pledge to our wonderful government during our rally (on July 4th ? 2013) the unequivocally CLEAR MESSAGE that go or stay — WE — the majority Anglophone tax paying citizens of this country — are NO longer willing to pay the 2.2 Billion (likely more) dollars a year it is costing US for a failed bilingualism program that basically just sets things up so that — WE — the majority Anglophone tax paying citizens of this country end up absolutely having to learn to speak French so that the French — who want nothing to do with bilingualism or the English language — can function throughout this whole country without having to learn to speak English, (the ACTUAL COMMON LANGUAGE of this country)
–
And thus, to finalize — We — the majority Anglophone tax paying citizens of this country, NO LONGER AGREE to allow our hard earned majority Anglophone tax dollars to go towards a program that basically has us financing the very demise of our own language and or own culture right within our own damn country. PERIOD…
I guess what I am saying is, how does July 4th sound?
Happy New Year everyone. See ya’s all on the Hill on ( ? ) 2013 😉
Oh and tap tap. RE: January 1, 2013 at 1:43 am. Great post.

I posted my suggestion message to Cory for the possible date and i must say, I agree with you. We should get the name, “the Canadians” back.

They French don’t have to worry (hockey name wise anyways), they are getting the Quebec Nordiques back, either next year or the year after that so… Voila.
–
Ya know, I don’t even think i will mind seeing those toll booths go up 🙂
I would like to try tough love first before voting on having Quebec leave or stay.
One set of common sense and fair rules for everyone.
Pierre, in an earlier post you thought I may be blurring the the provincial and federal lines, I am pretty sure that is not the case, but thank you. The lines have been blurred though with our federal language commish signing an MOU with the Ontario French language commish.
Thanks Tap Tap,
Happy New Year to you and Highlander, Edudyorlik, Ken, Admin, and all others I missed as well.
I think sometime around July 1-4 would suffice for this rally. What better way to reinforce the idea of nationhood then on Canada Day or even around the American Independence Day.
Just not around St. Jean Baptiste Day. I don’t want to offend the other nation.
Cory
Happy New Years everyone !
Welcome to our “Winter of discontent”,time to work behind the scenes and get the organization started .
Many of you can help ,in either behind the scenes like many who may fear the state( Canada’s oppression),or up front and center .
Time to get the masses to work together ,talk, organize ,inform .
In unity we will make the difference.
I would like to suggest, to all, with the obvious exceptions, that we try to recruit as many from west of Prescott as well.
I have a large contact list from west of Kingston, that I will contact.
we need a game plan, orgainized promotion and money for advertisement.
A fund could be established through CLF and this then go viral as well as ads in newpapers and tV
Sun news could be a promoter as well.
Looking forward to getting this off the ground
@Pierre
Ha,Ha,Ha,

Canada day would be great!!! We can celebrate our CULTURES AS ONE NATION which encompasses our two official languages French and english. Brilliant idea!!!
@ tap tap. This should be fun to watch. Here’s a suggestion for yous to save some money while mounting your Parliament Hill demonstration. Start scouring local flea-markets and Goodwill stores for cheap aluminum pots and pans. They sell for about fifty cents a piece. Assuming that your demonstrators will have two functioning hands (if not a functioning brain), they will require two of these noise-making devices each. Your total pot/pan cost shouldn’t exceed about thirty bucks.
Also, if yous combine your demonstration with a bikini contest, Sun News will for sure cover the event.
I look forward to taking in this event. And happy new year to yous too.
french is not an official languge to me, it is an imposition that we will deal with
the governemnt saying that fr–ch is an official doesn’t make it so,
The people of canada ( nine provinces only) do not recognize french as any official language, other than the joual of quebec, whatever the hell that is
I see you choice of shopping venues is in direct proportion to your level of intelligence eddy baby. bring it on
**S** Peace and love to you all, in the spirit of $$%%&&**$#
I’d love for you to take in our rally, see you face to face , if you have the guts , but you and stella don’t you are cowards
Hey tap tap. If yous have your pot and pan banging show on a sunny summer day, I will for sure ride up to Ottawa just to shake your hand. No guts required. Just a sense of humour.
Seriously.. a bikini contest will be vital if you want any sort of news coverage. Have you considered a banjo band or a Scottish dancing show to get the numbers up? I’m just throwing out ideas that yous might use to help make your Parliament Hill demo a resounding success.
@ tap tap
I gotta say it agiain, ha,ha,ha!
@ Ed
You’re half right, their demonstrators would have two funtioning hands.
@tap tap again,
stop it tap tap , my side hurts, ha,ha,ha!
On 2 fronts:
Spoke to a volunteer at CCH and she has withdrawn her services due to the bilingual policy at the hospital.
She has said tat there are more volunteers going the same way.
Also, funding is down and continues to fall.
So on two fronts, volunteeing and funding the word is out and the resistance growing against this forced bilingual policy
Keep up the good work folks, one volunteer and one dollar at a time
It works, it really does

Hey Stella, that is a GREAT idea!! Just imagine how … Wait.. Hold on a second…
–
Houston, we have a problem. Actually, a few of problems.
–
Firstly, I notice you did what most of your ilk tend to do. In your post you capitalized the term French but did not capitalize the term English. But, that’s OK though. I know, it was just a small oversight on your part. As you can see, I fixed it up for you.
–
Then secondly, another little “faux pas.”
You wrote, “We can celebrate our CULTURES AS ONE NATION -which encompasses our two official languages French and English.”
–
Just for future reference, and out of simple respect and courtesy. Keep in mind that this should written as follows, “We can celebrate our CULTURES AS ONE NATION -which encompasses our two official languages English and French.” You know, with the term “English” FIRST as it should ALWAYS be.
–
And thirdly, AND MOST IMPORTANT. Before we actually “celebrate our CULTURES AS ONE NATION”, as you put it. You’re going to have to do us all a little favor. You’re going to have to take a little jaunt over to “the hodder side hof da bridge hover dare” and remind them that there ACTUALLY IS ONLY — ONE NATION – Hey, maybe you could bring Ed and Pierre along as it’s important for them to realize this as well.
–
Oh and, while you’re there, could you also remind them that, though Canada does indeed have “two official languages” there actually is ONLY ONE “common language” for this “ONE NATION” and that language, you guessed it… Is English.
–
So hurry along now. Don’t leave such a great important task left undone. Also, don’t forget to let us all know once you’re finished. That way we can continue on with making the arrangement for this wonderful celebration that you so kindly suggested.
–
And, on behalf of all your friends here in this blog, I would like to say, a great big thank you in advance.
–
Oh and Ed, thanks for the suggestions for the cheap pots and pans but, that IS strictly a shtick out of the annals (or is it anus*$@es) of those other protesters. Uuhhm who was that again ?
–
Oh and of course, to both of you I would also like to say,
Have a nice day eh 🙂
