ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 47-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 31st, 2013. It is alleged that on January 29th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 14-year-old daughter when he assaulted her. Further investigation revealed that during the summer of 2012, he also assaulted his 10-year-old daughter. The victims did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Assault and held in custody until court on January 31st, 2013. His name was not released as it would identify the victims.
THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Patrick Proulx, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on January 31st, 2013. It is alleged that on January 31st, 2013, he attended a Ninth Street store and removed property without making any attempt for the items. He attempted to flee however was apprehended by off-duty police officers. He was charged with Theft under $5000 and released to appear in court on March 14th, 2013.
THEFT & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Nyle Prairie, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on January 31st, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order and an Undertaking with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavhiour. It is alleged that on January 31st, 2013 he attended local stores and removed property without making any attempt to pay for them. Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit observed him and subsequently charged him with 2 counts of Theft under $5000, Breach of Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.
Cornwall, ON- Christina Lafrance, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on January 31st, 2013. She was bound by two Probation Orders with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 31st, 2013 she attended local stores and removed property without making any attempt to pay for them. Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit observed her and subsequently charged her with 2 counts of Theft Under $5000 and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day.
POSSESSION & CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- Timothy Bryan Archer, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on January 31st, 2013. It is alleged that on January 31st, 2013 information was obtained that he had in his possession of a prohibited weapon being nunchuks. Police found him with in possession of the weapon and charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon and Carrying a concealed weapon. He was released to appear in court on March 12th, 2013.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Jeffrey Bergeron, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on January 31st, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on January 8th, 2013 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was located and held in custody until court the following day.
Cornwall, ON- Chad St. Louis, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on February 1st, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding Ontario Provincial Police warrant. He was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division and was held in custody until he was turned over to the Ontario Provincial Police.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON- Nicholas Derouchie, 18 of Cornwall male was arrested on January 31st, 2013. It is alleged that between December 17th and December 18th, 2012 he removed a motor vehicle from a Pitt Street business. Police were contacted and investigation followed. He was charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2013.
DISQUALIFIED DRIVE & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Todd St.Louis, 32 of Brockville was arrested on January 31st, 2013. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the conditions that he may consume alcohol in his house if he consumes alcohol he cannot leave his residence for 10 hours after and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also prohibited from driving while disqualified on four separate occasions. It is alleged that on January 31st, 2013 he was found by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division away from his residence, to have consumed alcohol and operating a motor vehicle. He was charged with 4 counts of Drive Disqualified, 2 counts of Breach of Probation and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was released to appear in court on March 12th, 2013.
