CFN – At the beginning of the show last night, the board of directors had a surprise for the members of the audience. SD&SG MP Guy Lauzon took the stage to announce a federal grant of $20,000 for the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage to be spread over 2 years. MP Lauzon stated that this is a significant recognition of the Stage’s contribution to arts and culture in Stormont Dundas and South Glengarry. He also said that this represents the federal government’s commitment to Arts and Culture in spite of the global recession.
Congratulations to the board of the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage on receiving grant and thanks go to the federal government for recognizing the importance of arts and culture.
