SouthStor Celebrate 728x90 2013-06-23 REV03

CFN is proud to initiate an Economic Development & Marketing plan for Municipalities and regions called Celebrate!

The Celebrate program is a simple and powerful tool to help promote areas and the businesses, services, and organizations that are the lifeblood of their communities.

We have rolled out our first community, South Stormont Ontario.

The program showcases local concerns, features South Stormont and will include full page items on featured facets of what make South Stormont so special.     Cornwall should be our next locale and be rolling out by September!

If you are a business, service, or organization in South Stormont call Reg at 613 537 9701 to be a part of Celebrate South Stormont or 613 361 1755 to book your spot for Celebrate Cornwall!

We will also be rolling out our Wear the Pin & Win program this month.

If you are spotted wearing a CFN pin you can win valuable prizes.   Click the banners that you see on CFN later this month to find out where to pick your pin or email info@cornwallfreenews.com

As some of you have read on the Standard Freeholder we are litigating against the City of Cornwall & Mayor Kilger over his illegally having me removed from City Council by hitting the panic button.

While I can’t comment on the details of the case at this point I find it saddening that the Editors at the Standard Freeholder yet again ran a piece about CFN without contacting us; especially as it had errors, and what they reported about was over a month old.

I should also note that this case isn’t about money, but our legal system is monetarily driven.  If all I or CFN wanted was CASH we would have issued suit in Superior Court for an awful lot more money.   The decision to use Small Claims court was driven by the fact that delays would be much more minimal and to get the Mayor, Council, and other witnesses on the stand testifying under oath as quickly as possible so that the public can learn more about how things have been run by this regime.  Small claims meant going to court within months instead of a potential 3-5 year wait for Superior Court.

Nobody’s life should ever be put at risk by elected officials in this manner.   And no business should ever be attacked as CFN has by the City, Chamber of Commerce in Cornwall, and other conspiratorial tentacles & agencies.

The ultimate irony is that I’ve worn the exact same shirt back to council without issue.

So please dear viewers of CFN support our sponsors if you can as they not only have chosen where they wish to advertise, but do so in sometimes trying circumstances because of this very sad boycott.

We at CFN  could not do it without you.    And if you love CFN as much as it looks like you do, and want to help please keep viewing.

Read us on Facebook and Twitter.

Did you know you can subscribe to CFN for as little as $25 per year (or $250 for a VIP subscription)

We don’t ever wish to have Pay Walls on CFN so for those of you who want us to grow and expand our coverage please consider clicking the link below and help us do just that!
