SDG OPP received complaints of a scam where a suspect contacted an unsuspecting person and identified himself as a relative or grandchild who is sick or under arrest and is in dire need of cash to be wired to them for medical expenses or bail money. Do not wire anyone any money if you are not sure who they really are. Please obtain as much caller information such as phone numbers, addresses etc …and contact police if you are unsure.
