WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Kayla Clute, 23 of Hogansburg, N.Y. was arrested on October 30th, 2013 on the strength a warrant. It is alleged that the woman was in breach of a conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 30th, 2013 the woman attended police head quarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.
SEXUAL ASSAULT, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 30th, 2013 and charged with assault and sexual assault. It is alleged that between August, 2010 and May, 2013 the man assaulted and sexually assaulted his 5-year-old daughter. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 30th, 2013 the man attended police head quarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Martin Gauthier-Newton, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on October 31st, 2013 and charged with breaching an undertaking for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of October 31st, 2013 during a routine traffic stop the man was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 29th, 2013 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on October 29th, 2013 the woman was involved in a verbal argument with her 22-year-old boyfriend when she punched him in the face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released with a future court date. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

(North Stormont) – On 30Oct13, at approximately 10:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident in Moose Creek, North Stormont Township.
The investigation revealed that a female and her ex-common law spouse were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.
The 22yr old male was arrested and faces charges of:
– Uttering Threats
– Mischief Under $5,000
– Forcible confinement
– Assault with A Weapon
– Poss. of a Weapon
He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
