Cornwall, ON – Christopher Tessier, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on January 30th, 2014 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address and breach of probation by not keeping the peace. It is alleged that on January 29th, 2014 police learned that the man had moved and did not notify the Cornwall Community Police. On January 30th, 2014 police attended the man’s new address, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on February 25th, 2014
Cornwall, ON – Tyler Bissonnette, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on January 31st, 2014 and charged with breaching an undertaking for being out past curfew as well as failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of January 31st, 2014 police attended a Carleton Street address in relation to a disturbance call. Once on scene they found that the man was out past curfew. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Andre Lemay, 58 of Cornwall was arrested on January 30th, 2014 and charged with public mischief. It is alleged that on January 30th, 2014 the man lied to police during an investigation when he reported his car was stolen. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on February 25th, 2014.
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 30th, 2014 and charged with criminal harassment and four counts of breach of recognizance for being within 100meters of his ex-girlfriend’s place of work. It is alleged that man repeatedly communicated with his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend by way of text messages and Facebook during the month of January, 2014 despite her wishes for him not to communicate with her. The man was also breaching his recognizance during the month of January, 2014 as he was seen on several occasions within 100meters of her place of work despite being on conditions not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 30th, 2014 police spotted the man in the area of Third Street and Pitt Street. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Michael Williams, 42 and Magdalena Williams, 32 both of Cornwall were arrested on January 23rd in relation to two break and enters that occurred in the city of Cornwall during the months of November, 2013 and December, 2013. It is alleged that on November 30th, 2013 the MacEwen gas bar located at Second Street and York Street was broken into and an undisclosed amount of money was removed. On December 18th, 2013 the Beer Store located on Sydney Street was broken into and an undisclosed amount of money was also removed from that location. Police were contacted on both occasions and investigations ensued. On January 23rd, 2014 members of the Cornwall Criminal Investigation Division executed a warrant at Bedford Street address and arrested and charged Michael Williams with two counts of break and enter while Magdalena Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime. A third person is also being sought by police in relation to both break and enters. Michael Williams was held for a bail hearing and Magdalena Williams was released to appear in court at a later date.

(South Glengarry)- On 30Jan14, at approximately 01:00am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.
The 30yr old female driver (Amanda WALKER of South Stormont) was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
She was arrested and faces charges of:
– Driving While Ability Impaired
– Driving with More than 80. mgs of Alcohol in Blood
She is scheduled to appear 11Feb14 in Cornwall court.
