Cornwall, ON – Kelly Allen, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on March 20th, 2014 and charged with breaching his probation order by having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 20th, 2014 police attended a St. Felix Street address for an unrelated matter when the intoxicated man began to speak police. He was taken into custody, charged for breaching his conditions and later released to appear in court on May 1st, 2014.

 

ROBBERY, BREAK AND ENTER, BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, ON – Frederico Belmonte, 43 of Long Sault was arrested on March 20th, 2014 and charged with robbery, break and enter possession of controlled substances and breach of recognizance for being in the possession of a crossbow and controlled substances. It is alleged that on March 10th, 2014 the man entered an unlocked Carleton Street residence and demanded that the home owner turn over his prescription medicine. After a brief struggle the man fled with a quantity of Fentanyl. Police were then contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 20th, 2014 during their investigation members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit along with members of the OPP executed a warrant at the man’s Long Sault residence and found that the man was in possession of a cross bow and drugs despite being on conditions not to. The search turned up a small quantity of marihuana, Percocet and Oxycodones. The man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
