CFN Municipal Candidate Reviews For Cornwall & South Stormont BEDARD & Primeau

ballotCFN is reviewing and rating local candidates this election instead of endorsing.

Our next candidates for review are for Davey Bedard & Donna Primeau

I’m not sure what Davey Bedard stands for or why he’s really running, but he did give one of the most entertaining speeches at the Civic Complex debate.   Rapping can be fun.

Other than that he put a wrap on his car and put out some strategically placed signs.

The Cornwallian is most noted for his work with his EWA group.

Ratings are for Perceived Honesty & Integrity, Vision and Action, Accessibility & Accountability, Leadership & Strength, and Win#

All are on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.

Donna Primeau is the worst thing that can happen to small town politics.  Her plan to run for office was not a secret even though she didn’t announce until late.  Her law breaking and abuse of the South Stormont Chamber of Commerce alone is cause to discount her candidacy.

She clearly is about Donna Primeau and not about her community.  Her inability and lack of skills compounded with a mix of pettiness and seeming complete comfort in bending and twisting rules and truth are something that any voter should frankly be frightened of.

She also terminated a contract for advertising for the Long Sault Farmer’s Market that essentially was a contra deal solely for her own personal animosity and pettiness.  Again, this surely can’t be a candidate that any progressive voter would want to represent them.

This is a woman who after gaming the minutes of the Chamber illegally forced two members of the Chamber out of the board (it would cost over $15,000 in legal bills to resolve in Superior Court) and refused to hold the Chamber AGM until the night of the Cornwall All Candidates televised debate.  Now that’s petty!   And on a side note if you aren’t comfortable being on camera then serving as an elected official isn’t probably an avocation to follow?
