A 78-year-old Kingston male has been charged with various child pornography and sexual offences in relation to a female teenage victim.

Over an extended period of time in 2014 David H. SLY is accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of the underage female and then engaging in sexual activity with her. His contact with the victim began through his ownership and operation of “Dave Sly Professional Dog Care” kennel, located on Highway 2 in the east side of Kingston.

A search warrant was executed at the Highway 2 property in December of 2014 and the accused was later arrested and charged with the following offences: two counts of Sexual Assault, Sexual Exploitation; Producing, Possessing, Making Available and Accessing Child Pornography. He was released on a Promise To Appear with a future court date and must abide by certain conditions to protect the victim and the public.

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Spiros Tassakos, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on January 8th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that in the month of October 2014 the man failed to abide by his recognizance conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 8th, 2015 the man attended the Cornwall Courthouse to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

WARRANT, THEFT UNDER, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Jason Gougeon, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on January 8th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant, theft under and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on January 8th, 2015 the man entered a store at the Cornwall Square and removed a pair of shoes making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. The man was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was also found to be wanted on a warrant for theft under. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

SD&G OPP

YOUTH ARRESTED

(North Stormont) – On January 8, 2015 at approximately 1:53pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a youth uttering a threat to cause damage to a residence on Highway 138, North Stormont Township. The young male was located and arrested. Officers also seized knives from the youth, who was bound to a condition stemming from a previous incident not to possess same.

The 15-year-old is charged with;

– Utter Threat to Damage Property
– Carry Concealed Weapon
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (January 9, 2015)

 

ASSAULT

(South Dundas) – On January 8, 2015 at approximately 9:04pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence on First Street, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an adult female had assaulted a male family member.

The 42-year-old woman was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on March 3, 2015.
