Cornwall, ON – A 55-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 27th, 2015 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that between January 21st and 27th, 2015 the man repeatedly communicated with a 43-year-old woman that was known to him despite being warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

FRAUD UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Gregory Lalonde, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on January 27th, 2015 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged that sometime in December, 2014 the man cashed two government cheques that did not belong to him and police were contacted to investigate. On January 27th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 5th, 2015.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on January 27th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man failed to attend court on December 8th, 2014 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 27th, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Surrey B.C. man was arrested on January 27th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on January 29th, 2014 while visiting his 45-year-old girlfriend in Cornwall the man sexually assaulted her, slapped her, damaged her computer and stole her medication and cigarettes. Police were contacted to investigate and found that the man was also breaching his probation order for failing to keep the peace and for having consumed alcohol. As a result of the investigation a warrant was issued for his arrest and on January 27th, 2015 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended British Columbia to assume custody of the man as Richmond RCMP detachment had the man in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, transported to Cornwall and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THREATS, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 29th, 2015 and charged with threats to property, threats to cause bodily harm and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on January 28th, 2015 the man attended his 38-year-old girlfriend’s apartment and threatened to break the door and harm her if she did not answer the door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

Hawkesbury OPP

BREAK-IN ON CONCESSION 4 IN ALFRED

(Alfred-Plantagenet, ON) The Hawkesbury OPP investigated a break and enter that occurred at Concession 4 residence in Alfred on January 20th.

The investigation revealed that sometime during the day, someone broke in via a back door.  Many small items, mostly electronics and jewelry, were stolen.

OTHER THEFT OF GAS AT ALFRED STATION

(Alfred-Plantagenet, ON) – On the 20th of January, , Constable Francine Lévesque was sent to investigate a incident of theft of gasoline at the Ultramar Gas station situated on County Road 17 in Alfred.

Someone attended the gas station overnight and broke the opening of the in ground tank.

Approximately $3100 worht of gas was stolen.

The OPP Identification Unit assisted in the investigation.
