WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 52-year-old Riviere Beaudette man was arrested on February 4th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that in April, 2008, while the man was living in Cornwall he assaulted his 45-year-old girlfriend. The matter was later reported to police and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 4th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
THEFT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Bradley Mondoux, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on February 4th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on February 2nd, 2015 the man attended a Cumberland Street store and removed a television making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 4th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 10th, 2015.
FRAUD UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Natalie White, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on February 2nd, 2015 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged that on December 30th, 2014 the woman attended a local bank and deposited an empty envelope into her account then withdrew money that wasn’t hers. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 2nd, 2015 the woman was located at a Pitt Street address, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

Marihuana grow operation dismantled on Kettlewell Way

(Ottawa) – On Thursday, January 29th, 2015, the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Team and West Neighbourhood Office executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrants in the 0-100 block of Kettlewell Way and the 0-100 block of Woliston Crescent.
Two people were arrested shortly after leaving the marihuana grow operation on Kettlewell Way with their infant. The Children’s Aid Society attended to apprehend a one year old child.
Included in the items seized were:
- 320 Cannabis Marihuana plants valued at $320,000.00.
- 15 kilograms of Cannabis Marihuana “shake” valued at $6,600.00.
- $625.00 in Canadian currency
- A 2010 Cadillac SRX SUV
As a result of the investigation, a 35 years old male and a 34 year old female, both of Ottawa, are charged jointly with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule II Substance (marihuana) contrary to Sec 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Production of a Schedule II Substance (marihuana) contrary to Sec 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Theft of Hydro contrary to Sec 326(1) of the Criminal Code
The 35 year old male is also charged alone with:
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 contrary to Sec 355(b) of the Criminal Code
The accused were released on Promises to Appear with court dates on February 25, 2015.
The names of the accused are not being released to protect the identity of the child. The investigation with the CAS continues.
