Cornwall Ontario’s 3rd Sexual Assault for 2015 – Police Blotter FEB 13 #CCPS

Cornwall PoliceASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT,SEXUAL ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, SEXUAL ASSAULT, THREATS, OVERCOME RESISTANCE, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE

 

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 12th, 2015 and charged with:

·         Assault

·         Assault with a weapon

·         Mischief

·         Forcible confinement

·         Sexual assault

·         Sexual assault with a weapon

·         Threats

·         Overcome resistance (choking)

·         Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

 

It is alleged that between February 4th and 5th, 2015 the man sexually assaulted his 30-year-old girlfriend while brandishing a knife. During this time the man also choked her, threatened her and damaged some of her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on February 12th, 2015 and charged with breach of recognizance for having communicated with her 25-year-old ex-boyfriend. It is alleged that on February 12th, 2015 the woman contacted her ex-boyfriend by way of a phone call and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
