IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Kanathonson Horn-David, 22 of Akwesasne was arrested on July 11th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged in the early morning hours of July 11th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle in the area of Pitt Street while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 23rd, 2015.
THEFT UNDER
Cornwall, ON – Sean Mahoney, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on July 12th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on July 12th, 2015 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed meat making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and the man was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
CRIMINAL HARRASSMENT, THREATS, BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON- A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 12th, 2015 and charged with threats to life, criminal harassment, possession of a controlled substance and breach of conditions for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 12th, 2015 the intoxicated man continually communicated with his 26-year-old ex-girlfriend despite having been warned by her to stop. The man also threatened to drive his car into her house. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located by police, taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
FRAUD UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Melissa Lafontaine, 37 of Laval, Quebec was arrested on July 12th, 2015 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged on July 12th, 2015 the woman attempted to return items that had the UPC codes switched at a Ninth Street store and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
