Collision at Cornwall Community Hospital Monday Morning DEC 15, 2015

A multi vehicle collision kicked off things Monday morning in the emergency parking lot at the Cornwall Community Hospital parking lot.

A CFN viewer who witnessed the collision sent in the picture and this comment.

No injuries, the minivan left the parking lot at the southern entrance and turned north onto McConnell, she failed to yield and lost control while accelerating, jumped the curb and ended up in this position.

Sgt. Chad Maxwell of the CCPS would only confirm the incident with no other details.

Such a very small town and so many accidents. One thing is certain if someone were hurt they wouldn’t have far to go for help.

So she did not lose control? Parking may just not be her thing.

So George Olive you make a guess and then proceed to tell everybody that they need to get the facts. That was funny. Thanks for the comic relief.

  8. Hugger1   December 15, 2015 at 2:56 PM

Abigail Marion….does the word “censorship” mean anything to you? That’s what you are trying to do.

  9. jules   December 15, 2015 at 4:31 PM

Well over 90% of drivers should be taken off the road and made pedestrians. Well the morons don’t even know how to walk let alone drive and they try to sensor the news and pretend to be innocent. Take a good look at the Mac’s Milk Store at East Court Mall – what a mess. It is stupid drivers like them that made me promise never to drive ever and I kept my promise and I am a woman of 64 years old and 65 nest month. I see enough nut cases on the road that should be taken off completely and for good.

So george olive is really abigail marion who doesn’t know the facts and wants nobody else to comment except herself. A possible career in comedy? Funny stuff abigail.

This is not the emergency department parking lot. This is the parking lot by the main entrance.

  12. Hugger1   December 15, 2015 at 10:23 PM

Jules….seriously 90% of driver s should be taken off the road? They are called “accidents” for a reason. Like the saying goes it’s the other driver you have to watch out for. Nowadays everyone is in such a rush that “accidents” happen.

  13. admin   December 16, 2015 at 5:42 AM

Abigail I’m glad nobody was hurt, but you probably should’t discuss the accident on Social media or on newspapers. At least not any details.

  14. jules   December 20, 2015 at 8:30 PM

Yes Hugger 90% and more should be off the road since they are incapable of driving and they are the ones who are jacking up the cost of insurance. Take away the licences of the incompetents. Cornwall is so mighty small and what is the hurry. If you race you miss the spot that you are supposed to go to. LOL LOL. You dare not blink – whoever made this accident must have blinked. Here in Ottawa the streets are race tracks and so many incompetents. So many accidents and many end up dead and what was their hurry – just to be put in a pine box for life.

  15. Hugger1   December 20, 2015 at 10:16 PM

They didn’t blink….they mistook the gas pedal for the brake. It’s never good when you group everyone together because of a few bad people.

  16. jules   December 21, 2015 at 1:16 PM

About 4 years ago an old man who drove his van hit my son’s car and it was demolished in a parking lot and before he hit my son’t vehicle he hit three other vehicles and he told the cop that he mistook the gas for the break. This is something that a lot of people say when it is their fault. This man was a senior citizen and an ambulance came for him. My son was in the bank at the time of the crash that the old geezer made. The cop never believed the old man. Like I said before 90% of people should be off the road and I mean that. You should see folks how they drive here in Ottawa – it is like the Ottoban in Germany where there is no speed – pal mal.

  17. Hugger1   December 21, 2015 at 3:31 PM

Sorry Jules. Nope. A few “accidents” doesn’t justify taking away people’s freedom.

  18. jules   December 21, 2015 at 4:22 PM

Hugger it is a lot more than just a few accidents and for a very small town like Cornwall people should be a great deal more careful. Here in Ottawa the vast majority of accidents has to do with speed and not paying attention and on those cursed gadgets of cell phones, etc. and I have seen that for myself. Speed kills and the lack of attention. Not putting on signal lights, etc. is another downfall. The guilty should be punished. I sure do believe in 90% of people should be taken off the roads since a great many do not know how to drive and we see this every day since we are out and people don’t even know how to make the proper turns let alone have good driving skills. Many people are totally nuts on the road and many are out to kill just like that woman in Vegas who ran over people on the sidewalk and injured many and one dead – that is no accident at all.

  19. Hugger1   December 21, 2015 at 5:30 PM

We agree to disagree. Drivers are no worse in Cornwall than they are in Ottawa. In fact, drivers here are probably better.
