ASSAULT, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Justin McCourt, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on January 26th, 2016 and charged with assault and threats to life. It is alleged during an argument on January 17th, 2016 the man grabbed a 35-year-old man who is known to him and threatened to kill him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 26th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 3rd, 2016.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Brandon Champagne-Wood, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on January 26th, 2016 and charged with possession of stolen property and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 26th, 2016 the man attempted to pawn a stolen ring and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 3rd, 2016.
ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 26th, 2016 and charged with assault and mischief. It is alleged during an argument on January 25th, 2016 the woman kicked and pushed her 23-year-old boyfriend and damaged a picture frame. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 26th, 2016 the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
