WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Nancy Chevrette, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on February 10th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her probation conditions and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On February 10th, 2016 she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on t he strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 79-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 10th, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument in November, 2015 the man pushed his 70-year-old wife and on February 10th, 2016 police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 8th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THEFT UNDER, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Blake Woods, 22 of Ingleside was arrested on February 10th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 10th, 2016 the man attended a Ninth Street store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation it was learned the man was also wanted for another theft. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Giuliana Pintus, 52 of no fixed address was arrested on February 10th, 2016 on the strength of an immigration warrant. It is alleged the woman was located playing bingo at a local hall on February 10th, 2016 by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and custody was turned over to the Canadian Border Service Agency.
