Man Charged for Grabbing Girl Friends Jacket in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER April 1, 2016

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 31st, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on March 31st, 2016 the man grabbed his 25-year-old girlfriend by the jacket and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Gisele Dumond, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on March 31st, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on September 22nd, 2015 the woman removed an unattended purse from a local school lunchroom and police were contacted to investigate. On March 31st, 2016 the woman was spotted walking in the area of Sydney Street and Second Street by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 5th, 2016.

FRAUD, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Gregory Lalonde, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on March 31st, 2016 and charged with fraud under $5000 and breach of undertaking for being in possession of someone else’s cheque and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 8th, 2016 the man forged and cashed a cheque that did not belong to him and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 5th, 2016.
