THREATS
Cornwall, On – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 4th, 2016 and charged with threats. It is alleged on April 4th, 2016 the youth threatened to blow up his school and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – Devin McNamara, 18 and a 15-year-old youth both from Cornwall were arrested on April 4th, 2016 and charged with assault cause bodily harm. It is alleged during an argument on March 25th, 2016 both McNamara and the youth pushed and punched a 14-year-old youth known to them in the head causing him to seek medical attention.Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 4th, 2016 both were arrested, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Brittany Lague, 19 of Ste-Rose was arrested on April 4th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her probation order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 4th, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the OPP detachment in Embrun as the woman was being held in custody by OPP. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court at a later date.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 4th, 2016 and charged with threats and criminal harassment. It is alleged on April 4th, 2016 the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend on several occasions and on one occasion threatened to harm her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 5th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation and undertaking for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an investigation it was learned the youth failed to notify a change of address. On April 5th, 2016 she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 5th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation for being within 100meters of his ex-wife, indirectly communicating with her and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 27th, 2016 the man asked that a message be relayed to his ex-wife. On March 30th, 2016 the man drove by his ex-wife’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. On April 5th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 3rd, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Steven Connor, 47 of Cornwall was arrested on April 5th, 2016 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged between April 4th and April 5th, 2016 the man threatened to harm a 35-year-old man known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Shane Flowers, 34 of Hamilton was arrested on April 5th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 24th, 2012 the man failed to attend court for a threats charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 5th, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended Montreal Quebec as Montreal Police had the man in custody on Cornwall’s warrant. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held in custody for a bail hearing.
