POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
(North Glengarry) – On April 24, 2016 at approximately 8:57am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a break-in to a commercial property on Lochiel Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that several items, including power tools and audio equipment had been removed. With the assistance of the SD&G OPP Crime Unit, an adult male was identified and arrested. Quantities of the affected items were recovered.
Patrick LEROUX (24) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
– Trafficking in Stolen Goods Under $5000
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on June 8, 2016.
IMPAIRED DRIVER
(South Glengarry) – On April 27, 2016 at approximately 1:56pm, an OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. The stop indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Alexandre MENARD (61) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on May 11, 2016.
