Man Punches Mom in Nose in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER June 9, 2016

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 7th, 2016 and charged with assault and mischief. It is alleged on June 7th, 2016 the youth kicked his mother and threw a plate and a bowl causing them to break. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

FAIL TO REMAIN, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Avery Jacco-Archambault, 19 of Long Sault was arrested on June 7th, 2016 and charged with fail to remain at the scene of an accident and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman fled the scene of an accident after her vehicle collided with another vehicle at the corner of Sixth Street and Sydney Street on June 7th, 2016. Police were contacted and located the woman at a Fourth Street address. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

THEFT UNDER

 

Cornwall, ON – Sandi Branchaud, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on June 7th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on June 7th, 2016 the woman selected merchandise at Second Street East store making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was stopped by the loss prevention officer and police were contacted. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 14th, 2016.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Alikas, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on June 8th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000. He was also charged with breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man entered a Brookdale Avenue store on April 9th, 2016, selected merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation it was also learned the man was responsible for three other thefts at local stores. On June 8th, 2016 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.  

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 8th, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on June 8th, 2016 the man punched his mother in the nose causing her to seek medical attention and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IDENTITY FRAUD, ATTEMPT FRAUD, UTTERING FORGED DOCUMENTS

 

Cornwall, ON – Patrick Marcoux, 39 of Longueuil, QC was arrested on June 6th, 2016 and charged with identity fraud, attempt fraud and uttering forged documents. It is alleged on June 6th, 2016 the man entered a local bank and identified himself with documents as someone else in an attempt to withdraw money. Police were contacted by an employee and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody at the bank, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

  1. Interestingly, one of the above “accused” has a bit of a history that includes allegedly providing sex to keep the mother’s coke habit going… a police officer following up on the report was not very interested, and offered words to the effect that “it’s a different culture on the island”.

  2. Re: Punch in the nose…Canada’s all for equality and feminist prime minister would possibly say that it is 2016…no issue here. While I do not advocate violence as a resolution if equality is a reality then sex should not enter the discussion. In other words man or woman should not be a consideration or focus, only the act itself. Hypocrisy still rules however.

  3. That’s a bit of a stretch David. The report is about a man allegedly punching his mother and being charged. Had he punched his father, I’m sure he’d be facing the same charge.

  4. People today have lost their moral compass and are heading down the cliffs of destruction. This has been coming on gradually where children no longer respect their parents and it is the fourth commandment of God to respect ones parents. These are the end times and with everything going on today I see it coming.
