MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 10th, 2016 and charged with mischief. It is alleged during an argument on June 8th, 2016 with his 37-year-old girlfriend the man damaged a window and police were contacted to investigate. On June 10th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
MISCHIEF, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 10th, 2016 and charged with mischief and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument with his mother on June 10th, 2016 the youth damaged a wall and a television set. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Jason Larose, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on June 11th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on April 19th, 2016 the man withdrew money on two occasions after depositing a fraudulent document and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation a warrant was obtained for the arrest of the man for fraud and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. On June 11th, 2016 the man was located, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 14th, 2016.
ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall woman and a 26-year-old Cornwall man were arrested on June 12th, 2016 and charged. It is alleged during an argument on June 12th, 2016 the man damaged a candle holder and was assaulted by his girlfriend who bit him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation both were taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on July 12th, 2016 while the woman was held for a bail hearing. Their names were not released as it would identify them as victims.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 12th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged the youth was out past curfew on June 12th, 2016 and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 9th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for attending a local school and for not attending his school on a regular basis. It is alleged on June 7th, 2016 the youth was spotted at the school he has conditions not to attend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation it was learned that the youth also did not attend his school without a valid reason. On June 9th, 2016 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THEFT, FRAUD
Cornwall, ON – Steve Larkin, 54 of Cornwall was arrested on June 9th, 2016 and charged with theft and fraud under $5000. It is alleged the man converted gift cards for his own profit from his place of work and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
