SEXUAL ASSAULT AND SEXUAL INTERFERENCE
Cornwall, ON – A 16 year old Cornwall male was arrested on June 27, 2016. He is bound by a Probation Order and an Undertaking Order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on May 26, 2016, he inappropriately touched a 13 year old male and prevented him from leaving the area while doing so. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The male was charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, Forcible Confinement, Breach of Probation and Breach of Undertaking. He was held for a Bail Hearing. His name is not being released as per provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DOMESTIC MISCHIEF AND THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 27 year old Cornwall male was arrested on June 27, 2016. It is alleged that on this date he engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend while they were in her moving vehicle on Second Street East. The argument escalated resulting in the male smashing the passenger side window. The vehicle pulled over on St Felix Street, the male exited and left the area. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The male was located by police a short time later and taken into custody. He blamed his girlfriend for his arrest and conveyed threats towards her in the presence of police. He was subsequently charged with Domestic Mischief and Uttering Threats. He was held in custody for a Bail Hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND COURT
Cornwall, ON – Ray Greenwood, age 28, of Cornwall was arrested on June 27, 2016. It is alleged that he did not attend court on June 21, 2016 in answer to 4 counts of Breach of Probation. A bench warrant was issued. On June 27, 2016, he turned himself in at the police station. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28, 2016.
OBSTRUCT, RESIST
Cornwall, ON – Calvin Wynter, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on June 23rd, 2016 and charged with obstruct police and resist arrest. It is alleged while dealing with an unrelated matter at the hospital on June 23rd, 2016 the man interfered with police despite having been warned by police to leave on several occasions. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 28th, 2016.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 22nd, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on June 21st, 2016 the man punched his girlfriend several times and police were contacted to investigate. On June 22nd, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
FRAUD OVER $5000, PERSONATION, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT
Cornwall, ON – Rampersaud Dukharran, 40 of Toronto was arrested on June 23rd, 2016 and charged with fraud over $5000, personation and utter forged documents. It is alleged on June 23rd, 2016 the man attended a Brookdale Avenue store and purchased a quantity of electrical wire with a fraudulently obtained credit card and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was located at the store, taken into custody and found to be in possession of fraudulent documents. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
