OPP Nab Weekend Speeders Near Brockville Ontario OCT 11, 2016

LEEDS COUNTY O.P.P. CHARGE MOTORISTS WITH IMPAIRED, AND STUNT DRIVING OVER WEEKEND

 

(Lansdowne, ON) – Over the Thanksgiving weekend, the Leeds County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P) have charged two persons for stunt driving and one person for impaired driving.

On October 9, 2016 an O.P.P. officer was assisting another officer with a traffic stop on Hwy 401, near the village of Lansdowne ON, when a Grey 2008 Kia was observed travelling at a high rate of speed westbound on Hwy 401.  The officer stopped the vehicle and after an investigation, 19 year old, Bradlee DOUESNARD  of Prescott was charged with Impaired Driving, Fail to move over for Emergency Vehicle and Novice Driver blood alcohol concentration above zero.  He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on November 25, 2016.

On October 10, 2016 at approximately 3 a.m. a Leeds County O.P.P officer was on patrol on Hwy 401 near the village of Lansdowne and observed a 2016 Grey Honda travelling at a high rate of speed.  37 year old, Marco Moraes of Toronto, ON was charged with was charged with Race Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed, his Ontario driver’s license was suspended and his car towed.

On October 10, 2016 at approximately 7 a.m. a Leeds County O.P.P officer was on patrol on Hwy 401 near the village of Lansdowne, ON and observed a tan colored Ford travelling at a high rate of speed.   A traffic stop was initiated and 24 year old, Nathan Clarke, of Kingston ON was charged with Race Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed, his Ontario driver’s license was suspended and his car towed.
