Alcohol Driving in Le Village Leads to Charges in Cornwall Ontario OCT 13, 2016

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 12th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on October 3rd, 2016 for an assault charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 12th, 2016 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the assault charge stems from a domestic incident and may identify the victim in the matter.

 

TAKE MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT CONSENT, DANGEROUS DRIVE, FAIL TO STOP AT THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT, BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON – Sabin Hall, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on October 12th, 2016 and charged with dangerous drive, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, take motor vehicle without consent and breach of recognizance for being out past curfew and for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged in the early morning hours of September 30th, 2016 after having consumed alcohol the man took a motor vehicle without permission, drove it in a dangerous manner striking signs along Montreal Road. Police who were in the area located the damaged vehicle and spoke with the man who then fled on foot. On October 12th, 2016 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 11th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside her residence after having consumed alcohol, communicating with her ex-boyfriend, being at his residence and for being somewhere he is known to be. It is alleged on October 11th, 2016 police attended a Third Street address for an unwanted person and found the woman in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
