BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Shane Riopelle, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on November 11th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation for being outside his residence after having consumed alcohol and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on November 11th, 2016 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 6th, 2016.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING
Cornwall, ON – Brandon Bigtree, 33 of Akwesasne was arrested on November 11th, 2016 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking. It is alleged the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana when he was stopped at the port of entry on November 11th, 2016. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 20th, 2016.
HARASSING PHONE CALLS
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 12th, 2016 and charged with harassing phone calls. It is alleged the man contacted his ex-girlfriend on November 12th, 2016 despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 56-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 12th, 2016 and charged with assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on November 12th, 2016 the man punched his 40-year-old girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
TRESPASS BY NIGHT, RESIST ARREST
Cornwall, ON – Antoni Jongepier, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on November 12th, 2016 and charged with trespass by night and resist arrest. It is alleged on November 12th, 2016 the man was spotted coming from a back yard on Eleventh Street by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 6th, 2016.

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 13th, 2016 and charged with mischief. It is alleged after an argument on November 13th, 2016 the man damaged several items at his girlfriend’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 13th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ROBBERY, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Gerard Cook, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on November 13th, 2016 and charged with robbery and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 13th, 2016 the man attended a local business and requested cash all the while indicating that he had a gun, however no gun was brandished. The man left the area and police were contacted to investigate. He was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, FLIGHT FROM POLICE, DANGEROUS DRIVE
Cornwall, ON – Marc Campeau, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on November 14th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and refused to stop for police as he drove in a dangerous manner in the area of First Street East. The man’s truck came to a stop at a First Street address and he was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 1st, 2016.
