CORNWALL ONTARIO – The STEO has really been dropping the ball this Winter on school bus decisions.
Cancelling when there is little to no bad weather; not cancelling when there’s heavy snowfall and now today, as of 5:30 AM the STEO website, facebook page, and twitter page still showed no cancellations even though over 15cm of snow is expected to fall before today is over. Only at the last minute did they finally cancel buses.
Advance weather forecasts predicted 10-15CM for the Sunday to Monday period.
The STEO uses really crappy net hosting with their site crashing whenever there’s a flake or two it seems also.
Whoever is in charge of public and media notifications needs to improve their efforts as this impacts thousands of families.
