ASSAULT POLICE, RESIST ARREST, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 15th, 2017 and charged with resist arrest, assault police and breach of recognizance of bail for failing to attend school. It is alleged on May 15th, 2017 the youth was not in school as directed and police were contacted to investigate. The youth was located by police and taken into custody after a brief struggle. It is also alleged during the struggle the youth kicked an officer in the chest. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

MISCHIEF, THREATS, HARASSING PHONE CALLS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Marc Fournier, 34 of Cornwall was arrested on May 15th, 2017 and charged with mischief, threats, harassing phone calls and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 12th, 2017 the man contacted another man known to him on several occasions and threatened to harm him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation it was also learned Fournier had damaged some of the man’s property. On May 15th, 2017 he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 5th, 2017.
