DRIVER CHARGED AFTER EXCESSIVE SPEEDING.
(DRUMMOND, NORTH ELMSLEY TOWNSHIP, ON) – At about 07:09pm on Friday 17th May 2017 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed on Highway 7 in Drummond North Elmsley Township.
The west bound Mazda 3 car was traveling at 151kilometers per hour (kph) in a posted 80kph zone.
A twenty three (23) year old man from the City of Ottawa is charged:
One (1) Count Race Motor Vehicle / Stunt Driving.
Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Drivers charged with this offence receive an immediate 7day licence suspension. The vehicle involved is also impounded for 7 days.
